1 Preliminary Agenda 7th QIAGEN Investigator Forum When: March 6 8, 2018 Where: Hotel Dom Pedro, Lisbon, Portugal The 7 th QIAGEN Investigator Forum will kick off with 4 different workshops on March 6 that aim to educate, and allow participants to explore, new applications. The topics that will be covered in the theoretical and practical sessions of the workshops include: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and data analysis for new and advanced users A hands-on workshop on Pyrosequencing The QIAGEN workflow for process optimization using QIAGEN s new quantification assay for Rotor-Gene Q The workshops will be followed by the main sessions, which will take place on the 2nd and 3rd day of the meeting, March 7 8. Hands-on Workshops and Reception Tuesday, March 6, 2018, a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Hands-on Workshops 1) Basic introduction to NGS technology and data analysis software The workshop will take place from a.m. to p.m. Please bring your laptop and power cable along to the workshop. 2) Advanced introduction to forensics NGS and data analysis The workshop will take place from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Please bring your laptop and power cable along to the workshop. Sample to Insight
2 3) Increasing strength of evidence and investigative leads using the PyroMark Q48 Autoprep The workshop will take place from a.m. to 4.00 p.m. 4) Is your male DNA degraded? Investigator Quantiplex Pro RGQ Kit workflow a new tool for sexual assault investigation The workshop will take place from a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Note: The workshops run in parallel; registration needs to be done independently from main sessions. A visit to the Lisbon Police Department laboratories will be possible on March 6 for registered attendees. Places are limited!
