12 Build Digital twins Work Oder Management Productions orders are imported from ERP (Planning System) and they are associated to the Bill of Operations (BOP) exposed to the system from PLM via the Digital Twin. Every step of the BOP contains: 1. Its BOM 2. Its EWI 3. Its Documentation 4. Its Part Program or Machines Parameters (if needed) BOP Page 12

13 Build Digital twins EWI & Documents At any time a step of a BOP is activated and executed, the relevant documentation as well as EWI are shown to the operator(s) All this information (documents, drawings and 3D simulations) are exposed at the right time and at the right workstation, in synch with the execution of the Production Order. Information is shared by PLM via Digital Twin Page 13

15 Build Digital twins Material Consumption (Material Track & Tracing and Genealogy) At any time a step of a BOP is activated and executed, all Materials used are traced (either manually by Operator or automatically via barcode reader or RFID), and current actual consumption is compared with what planned by PLM. This activity can be supported by EWI and drawings exposed from PLM via Digital Twin. Page 15

16 Build Digital twins Quality Data Collection At any time a step of a BOP is activated and executed, Qualityrelevant data are collected (either manually by Operator or automatically from measuring machines), and current actual values are compared with what planned by PLM. 17 Build Digital twins Non Conformances & Defect Declaration At any time a defect is detected, MES raise a non conformance, and Operator attention is required. Usually Operator is required to categorize and manage it. This activity is supported by a defect catalogue exposed from PLM via Digital Twin. Page 17

18 Build Digital twins As-Built Report & Genealogy All the information gathered during operations generate the As-Built Report. That provide information such as: Consumed Materials Quantity Material definition Batch ID or Serial Number Genealogy Used Work Center Acquired Data Collection Used Tools Tool definition Quantity Non-Conformances Operators involved Role Start/End activity time OEE and KPI s Etc.. 19 Build Digital twins MOM Process As Built Information back to Engineering (CAPA) As-Built Information is sent to Engineering, enabling CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Actions) practices. CAPA implements systematic investigations of the root causes of the identified problems, in an attempt to - prevent their recurrence (for corrective action) or - to prevent their occurrence (for preventive action).
