Hurricane Matthew Preparedness & Recovery with Cityworks Esri Water Conference Feb 7-9, 2017 Orlando Fl. Greg Baird Director of Enterprise Strategies Cityworks
With Asset Management You Have Time to Carefully Plan How You Will Allocate and Prioritize Your Resources.. In an Emergency You Will Have Less Than 20 mins to Analyze Your Data and Make A Decision To Take Action
Decision Making Obstacles We have limits on our human ability to gather, process and understand all of the information needed to optimize a decision Limits on Data (Information and Knowledge) Limits in Time
We Are Visual Beings 90% of the of the information is absorbed by the brain as visual We process visuals 60,000 times faster than text
The Web GIS-Centric Platform Helps you Visualize, Explore and Analyze Your Data
The WEB GIS-Centric Approach Best in Class CMMS
This is a story of how they used Cityworks, as a Web Map-Centric Asset Management solution to support St Johns County FL with their efforts in relation to Hurricane Matthew. With project tracking, feature service publishing and AGOL the County was able to identify damage as it was occurring in real-time and provide necessary updates to citizens. Following the storm aftermath, the detailed project tracking provided by Cityworks enabled quick FEMA reporting and recovery of County finances.
