DIVISION 00 - PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACTING REQUIREMENTS Section Invitation to Bid A. Add to 3 Scope of Work, Item.2.1 This work shall include the trees and shrubbery against the rear (south) elevation as indicated by Photograph 1 of this Addenda. B. Add to 3 Scope of Work, Item 3.1 Photo 1..1 The University reserves the right to not include the east facing elevation wall above the swimming pool roof within the Contract. (as partially indicated by Photograph 2.) The Contractor shall price this item separately within the revised Bid Forms which accompany this Addendum. All other Scope of Work items required for the east facing elevation wall above the swimming pool shall be carried out notwithstanding whether or not the previously repointed joints within the latter are cut out and repointed. Photos 3 & 4. D. Add to 3 Scope of Work Item.6.1 The third pilaster to the north of the west facing elevation shall receive a staple type installation similar to those required for corner columns indicated by the drawings and as illustrated by Photograph 5 of this Addendum. It is not intended that the mortar joints of continuously vertical joints within projecting brick panels, illustrated on Photograph 6 of this Addendum be cut out and caulked. Photo 6. The caulked joint on the left is to be cut out and recaulked. The mortar joint to the right remains. F Add to 3 Scope of Work Item.12.1 This work also includes removing the residual bitumen evident on the west elevation and illustrated by Photographs 7 & 8 of this Addendum. G Add to 3 Scope of Work Item.14.1 In addition to this Work, the deteriorated concrete and parging on the rear elevation illustrated by Photograph 9 of this Addendum shall also be cut out and repaired using a pre-approved concrete repair mortar after cleaning and treating exposed reinforcing steel with a pre-approved zinc rich epoxy primer. 6 Page 2 of 4 SECTION REVISED BASE BID FORM materials and plant required to complete the Work. 6 In the event that extra work to that included in the Contract is required, and is authorized in writing by the Owner, we agree to perform such work at net cost under the following conditions:.1 Labour costs shall be charged at the following rates, which include Statutory charges on labour for Worker's Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Canada Pension, Vacation Pay, Hospitalization and Medical Insurance. Trade Rate Trade Rate.2 Material costs shall be charged on actual cost basis for each item with trade discounts credited to the Owner. Only discounts for cash payment may be retained by the Contractor..3 The cost of extra work shall be the net difference in value after incorporating credits for the deletion of any work and shall include applicable taxes and insurance..4 Overhead and profit may be applied to the net extra cost of each change in work as follows:.1 Contractor's Own Work: Not more than 10% for Contractor's overhead and not more than 10% of the value of the work plus overhead, for Contractor's profit..2 Subcontractor's Own Work: Not more than 10% for Subcontractor's overhead and not more than 10% of the value of the work plus overhead for Subcontractor's profit, to this may be added not more than 10% for Contractor's profit. 7 We hereby agree that we shall not enter into a sub-contract with any individual or company whose name does not appear on the "List of Proposed Sub-Contractors" included with this Bid Form unless having received the prior written consent of the Consultant. 8 If notified of the acceptance of all or part of this Bid, we will commence construction of the Work within ten (10) days of such notification and will complete the project in accordance with the Program of Work which accompanies this Bid. 9 The following Lump Sums shall apply.
