2 PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS The CIP includes a general list of projects scheduled during each of the five years of the program, followed by detailed project sheets arranged by project category, such as Streets, Traffic Signals, Water, Sewer, etc. These sheets include information for each project as follows: CIP Identification Number: (example: ST-5) ST-# Street Projects S-# Signal Projects W-# Water Projects SS-# Sewer Projects SD-# Storm Drainage Projects PK-# Park Projects B-# Building Projects G-# General Projects PP-# Pittsburg Power Projects M-# Marina Projects Project Title: Project Number: Estimated Project Cost: Project Limits: This is the title of the proposed project. A CIP contract or project number will be assigned to the projects as funding is established. This will indicate the project status if available. Project cost estimates are used as place holders for project funding. Cost estimates shown here vary from conceptual project estimates to detailed design estimates. A more detailed cost estimate is prepared during the design phase of each project. Actual costs are unknown until bids are opened. This is a written description of the project limits if available. This section identifies project funding sources that have been approved or will be approved with adoption of this CIP. This is a detailed description of the project.
3 B-2: Corporation Yard Fueling System Upgrade TBD Currently Determining Regulatory Requirements the next years for Budget and Design $15,000 Design 357 East 12 th Street- Corporation Yard $200,000 Construction Funding Sources Eligible State Grants, Dept Budgets that use Vehicles and Equipment Identified Funding: Infrastructure Account The fleet fueling system at the Corporation Yard is out of compliance per State regulatory requirements and is in need of major upgrades including new piping, fueling island, single wall tank replacement, new dispensers, island cover and new Concrete pad.
4 B-3: Demolish Back of Cigar Store TBD Need demolition plan $40,000 Corner of Railroad and 4 th Street TBD This project will carefully remove the hazardous debris inside the unreinforced masonry in the back of the Cigar Store.
5 B-4: PITTSBURG LIBRARY ROOFTOP SOLAR SYSTEM TBD Solar system design and proposal are accepted. System installation will occur in September 2016 Roof Top of 80 Power Ave. $120,000 Funding Sources Eligible Pittsburg Power Company Identified Funding: A collaborative effort between the Pittsburg Power Company and the Future Bill Program, to install a KWdc solar system on the rooftop of the Pittsburg Contra Costa County Library located at 80 Power Avenue, Pittsburg. The solar production of this project is expected to cover 53% electricity usage of the library.
6 CENTRAL AVE INSTALL "CHILDREN AT PLAY" SIGN 25' SOUTH OF RETURN REDWOOD STREET B-12: PURCHASE CORP YARD ANNEX (389 East Twelfth St.) To be determined Awaiting funding. $1,650,000 City Corporation Yard at 357 East 12 th Street Eligible Funding Source: TBD Identified Funding Source: Not funded This project will involve expansion and an addition of a warehouse at the City s existing corporation yard.
7 CENTRAL AVE INSTALL "CHILDREN AT PLAY" SIGN 25' SOUTH OF RETURN REDWOOD STREET B-31: COVER FUEL DISPENSERS AT CORP YARD To be determined Awaiting funding $60,000 All City owned public facilities. Eligible Funding Source: TBD Identified Funding Source: None This project includes providing an overhang (cover) over the fuel dispensers at the Corporation Yard located at 357 East 12 th Street. This project is necessary in order to comply with State guidelines for fuel dispensing facilities.
8 B-52: CIVIC CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE & COURT PARKING To be determined Requires funding $5,000,000 To Be Determined Eligible Funding Source: To Be Determined Identified Funding Source: None This project will construct a parking structure near City Hall and the Courthouse for use by both facilities.
9 B-53 DOWNTOWN SURFACE PARKING LOT To be determined Awaiting funding $1,500,000 Fifth Street, Cumberland to Railroad Avenue Eligible Funding Source: TBD Identified Funding Source: None This project will construct a new parking lot at East 5 th Street to increase available parking for the downtown area.
