SUBSTRUCTURE 1. EXCAVATION & EARTHWORKS Unless other wise stated, Rate shall include for a) back filling with selected excavated material & consolidating. Surface treatment; compaction before filling / foundation. b) disposal of surplus soil as directed & keeping all excavations free from water unless other wise measured separately. c) any additional excavation for working space. d) Trees will require protection 1.1 Clear off site to remove top soil to an average depth of 20cm. m Bulk excavation in ordinary soil to a depth of 100cm for VIP Latrine pit. m Ditto but over 100cm and not exceeding 400cm. m Excavate for foundation trench to the external beams in ordinary soil to a depth not exceeding 150cm from the stripped ground level m Return fill around foundation with good, dry excavated material from site and well ram in layers every 20cm interval. m Fill under floor slab with selected material from quarry and well compacted, rolled in layers every 20cm interval. m Remove and spread surplus excavated material with in the compound. m cm thick basaltic or equivalent stone hardcore and blinded with crushed stone. m Total EXCAVATION & EARTHWORKS 2.CONCRETE WORKS 1 / 5

Price includes ASSA door lock or similar, two coats of oil paint, kicking plate, door stopper and all necessary iron mongery. SANITARY INSTALATION WATER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION 7.1 Supply and install upvc water supply pipes for water distribution from the water reservoir to urinal and washing facilities according to where shown on the drawings complete with the necessary connecting, pieces such as bends, unions, nipples tees, elbows, etc. unit price shall include all the necessary assistance to the installation work such as chiselling of walls, slabs floors, etc. and closing then with concrete to normal condition the installation shall be tested at a pressure of 1Mpa, before pipes are covered at the expense of the contractor. dia 15mm. Lm dia 20mm.. Lm Supply and install, on water supply lines chromplated, gate valves, made of bronze or brass parts complete with rubber gaskets, hand whells, unions and other accessories. dia 15mm. Pcs 6.00 WASTE WATER COLLECTION AND VENTILATION 7.3 Supply and install soil waste and vent pipes in horizontal branches and vertical stacks made of UPVC pipes and fittings conforming to BS 5255 and BS4514. Fittings should include bends, branches, tees clear outs, reducers, etc. joints are to be done with solvent weld conforming to BS4514. Unit price shall include all the necessary assistance work to the installation, such as chiselling of walls, slabs, floors, etc. and closing them with concrete.
