2 FEKEDULEGN, VITAE 2 Professional Experience September 2001 to present January 2001 to August 2001 Research Associate Responsibilities: Providing statistical consulting services to CAFCS, NIOSH, DNR, USDA Forest Service and teaching undergraduate statistics courses. Instructor Responsibilities: Teaching undergraduate statistics courses, tutoring, and providing assistance to on-line laboratory classes to 2000 Graduate Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Teaching laboratory classes for undergraduate statistics courses, providing assistance for on-line statistics course development to 1998 Graduate Research Assistant Responsibilities: Conducting research on growth-climate relationship for selected Appalachian hardwood species. I have made extensive study in the area of dendrochronology, particularly on the statistical methods used for modeling tree growth-climate relationships. Summer of 1998, 1999, and 2000 Cooperating Research Scientist USDA Forest Service, Morgantown Responsibilities: Conducting research on statistical methods used for assessing quality of tree-ring data, on statistical models used to asses the impact of gypsy moth on tree growth, and providing short courses for technical stuff on the use of common software s in dendroclimatology to 1996 Graduate Research Assistant Department of Crop Science, Horticulture, and Forestry (Biometrics div.) Responsibilities: Conducting research on applications of non-linear mathematical models in forest growth and yield. I made extensive reviews and analyses in the application of nonlinear models (such as the Chapman-Richards model, the von Bertalanffy model, the Weibul model, the Richard's model, the Gompertz model, the Logistic model, the Mitcherlich model, the Monomolecular model and the Negative exponential model) for predicting tree growth.
