2 First Friday Start-up Group Florida Association of Organizations First Friday Start-up Group Starting a nonprofit takes more than determination. It also takes skill, knowledge and planning. All the regulations, paperwork and legal hurdles can seem overwhelming. Luckily, you have a friends that can help FANO s First Friday Start-up Group is designed for you The first Friday of every month, FANO offers a course designed to get you started in the right direction. This is the perfect beginning class for Directors, Board Members or anyone that will be directly involved with your new nonprofit. Topics covered include: The decision whether or not to incorporate and the 32 points to consider first By-laws, Board Members and Strategic Planning Human Resource Obstacles Financial Issues Pubic Relations and Communications Political Activity for s Classes are held the First Friday of every month at our offices in Miami Lakes. Participants may attend in person or by phone Class times are 10am 11:45am for your convenience Can t Make It To Miami? Custom Classes Available on Your Schedule and Your Location Call for Details! Many students who attend our First Friday Start-up Group go on to attend the entire Certificate in Management Program. This 11-course series provides a complete guide to all issues facing nonprofits. CNM courses are held once a month on Saturdays and are presented in cooperation with our partners at Nova Southeastern University and Broward College.
