1 Role Profile Job Title HR Manager Professional Training Directorate or Region HR Department Department/Country FRANCE Location of post Paris Pay Band G Reports to Head of Human Resources Duration of job CDD 6 months Purpose of the job: Under the guidance of Head of Human Resources, the post holder is responsible for creating a professional training (Plan de formation) and a BDES (Base de Données Economiques et Sociales): Create HR procedures and infrastructures for creating and maintain individual files on professional training. Evaluate existing procedures for collecting data on internal and external training and their costs Create HR procedures and infrastructure for monitoring professional training and financing structures Process demands for external financing of professional training Implementation of a Base de Données Economiques et Sociales» (BDES) All duties are met within the BC Equal Opportunity & Diversity Policy and the BC Personal Management standards. Context and environment: (e.g. dept description, region description, organogram) British Council in France employs over 300 staff who work across three main activity streams: Arts, Education & Society and English. As the UK s official agency for cultural relations, British Council aims to deliver significant impact in these activity areas in France and the EU Region - enhancing bilateral relations, promoting a positive image of the UK and showcasing best practice, excellence and integrity in its work. The English teaching and exams businesses are experiencing strong growth and employ large numbers of part-time staff as well as core teams of full-time employees based in the British Council office in Paris. The HR Coordinator Professional Training will be line-managed by Head of Human Resources.
2 Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: 1. Identify collective training needs Identify operational training needs in collaboration with Line-Managers and Head of SBUS Propose a coherent framework and mechanism for allocating training resources 2. Identify individual traning needs Process data on individual training needs gathered through (bi-)annual professional development interviews (entretiens professionnels). Propose a framework for keeping track of the (bi-)annual professional development interviews Propose process for ensuring bi-annual professional development interviews are being held. 3. Creating HR procedures and HR infrastructures for creating and maintaining individual files on professional training Gather data on completed professional training (including British Council mandatory training) for all staff. Proposing a framework for data collection and reporting of professional training folllowed. Create individual files on completed professional training. Creating a comprehensive file gathering required information for Management purposes and in order to present to all legal bodies 4. Plan de formation Propose setup and process for yearly professional training plan Establish and collect required data for professional traning plan in collaboration with Head of HR. Support implementation of the professional training plan as per french legal requirements 5. Processing demands for external financing of professional training Evaluate individual training requests, including CPF- and CIF requests, under the guidance of Head of HR. Process individual requests for internal and external financing of professional training. 6. Implementation of the Base de Données Economiques et Sociales Responsible for creating HR procedures and HR infrastructres enabling the British Council to create and maintain a BDES Establish and collect required data for BDES in collaboration with Head of HR. Support implementation of the BDES as per french legal requirements

Transactions need to be on time and must be within strict compliance of all internal audit rules. The post may involve working under pressure and demand flexibility especially during peak times such as beginning and end of academic year, financial year end, audit visits or requests etc. Applicants must be eligible to work in France.
