5 01 Introduction TerraStruc is a privately owned, multi-disciplined and multi-national company that has been in operation since Our core services are: Project and Construction Management Design and Product Development Management Contracting General Works Contracting Advisory Services To support our international operations, we have established our head office in the UAE and we maintain strategic satellite offices in Azerbaijan, Georgia and South Africa. Our initial business activities focused on engineering design and consultancy. The natural evolution of our contracting capabilities was a direct result of our personable approach, market opportunity during the construction boom in the Middle East and Caspian regions and a strong client demand in these challenging markets. 9 03 Health, Safety and Environment Company Policy: Our commitment to a safe and healthy working environment Our HSE Commitment It is TerraStruc s aim to create a working environment that is free of work related accidents and ill health. To this end we will pursue continuing improvements from year to year. We undertake to comply with, and exceed statutory requirements by: 1. Identifying hazards within the workspace, assessing related risks and implementing appropriate preventative measures 2. Establishing and enforcing safe methods of work 3. Providing and maintaining appropriate tools, equipment and PPE 4. Recruiting and appointing personnel who have the ability, skills and competence commensurate with their role and level of responsibility 5. Ensuring tasks given to employees are within their skills, knowledge and ability to perform 6. Ensuring that technical competence in maintained through the provision of refresher training as appropriate 7. Promoting awareness of health and safety and of good practice through the effective communication of relevant information 8. Aligning our internal procedures with the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard 9. Furnishing sufficient funds needed to meet these objectives All employees on their part will actively contribute to this policy by promoting a safe working environment and highlighting any risks to the relevant management team.
