Founded in 1934, we are a UK charity governed by Royal Charter and a UK public body. Position overview There are six British Council teaching centres in Thailand. The main centre in Bangkok s Siam Square (where this role will be primarily based) is the largest while the smaller branches are situated in Chiang Mai and in Bangkok s metropolitan suburbs. The teaching centres have a solid reputation in Thailand for high quality teaching and are amongst the leading English language providers in the country. In addition to courses run at our own centres, the British Council works with learners at Thai schools and universities (commonly known as partner schools), where we provide all or part of the English language syllabus or supplementary courses. Many of the managers, coordinators, instructors and assistants assigned to these contracts are based offsite at a partnering academic institution. We have strong and proven experience of delivering high-quality English training at these locations. 2 This post involves working closely with the Head of Partner Schools and Universities in growing our business in Bangkok and the surrounding area, tailoring our programmes to meet the needs of clients and students. Once contracts have been signed, the operations and academic teams will take charge of arranging and providing the services to the clients, but it will remain the Sales and Partnership Manager s role to maintain and strengthen ongoing partner relations, managing the discussions leading to the renewal of contracts that will extend and strengthen these partnerships. Main accountabilities Identifying new business partners, markets, products and contract opportunities (including but not limited to new partner university and school programmes); and seeking suitable channels for communicating our offer. Strategically approaching potential business partners, building and maintaining key relationships and securing new business/partnerships. Preparing proposals for the services and develop service contracts/agreements to ensure the best interest of the British Council. Liaising with British Council management and operations team to agree on and arrange for partner university and school programmes to meet customer requirements. Co-operating with other teams, particularly Teaching Centre, Exams and Education, to develop synergy and effectiveness in cross-selling British Council services to target customers. Ensuring customer satisfaction though a high level of after sales service, including regular meetings with school and university representatives and coordinating with the academic staff to resolve issues promptly. Being responsible for budget management of university and partner school programmes, deferred income and income reconciliation and reporting to Management team. Performing monthly dashboard and KPI reports, monitoring income against sales targets. The line management of administrative staff based in Siam Square office and/or partner schools. Being responsible for working with management team in financial planning and forecasting.
