2 Pine Valley Group Companies Overview Pinevalley Group (PVG) This is the overarching organisation which manages both Amtech and Newtech businesses. This group manages the behind-the-scenes operational activity for both business units, including: ± Marketing ± HR ± Finance ± Warehousing and Operations ± Administration ± Procurement By these teams collectively working together across both business groups, it has enabled significant improvements in efficiency, cost saving, skillset and competency. Customer service roles within each business are managed under the individual management teams of each business unit, namely: ± Customer Services ± Internal Sales Support ± Sales and Business Development roles companies overview 2

3 Pine Valley Group Companies Overview Amtech specialises in providing a single source supply of medical consumable products to a client base of doctors, dentists, surgeries, allied health therapists, hospitals, day-stay clinics and end user consumers across New Zealand. Amtech s focus is to provide an extraordinary customer experience at every point by utilising every single team member. Amtech has a field of 4 on-road Sales Executives and Business Development personnel that build and develop trusting, lasting client relationships. Amtech s Customer Services and Internal Sales staff have been trained and cultured to offer and provide clients with their own personalised service experience. The Warehouse team carry through the same practice and work to deliver personal service upon dispatch. Established in 2003 with 2 staff, Amtech now has over 30 staff today and continuously employs people to meet its upward trend of year-on-year growth. Amtech products are imported from over 20 countries and over 50 global manufacturers. Amtech has over 3500 active SKUs on its shelves and upholds an overnight delivery service nationwide from its distribution warehouse in Wanganui. Amtech has invested heavily in technology to provide simpler, easier solutions for its client base, and has extensive plans to further this development. Newtech specialises in providing a range of mid-to-high end bathroomware products. Newtech s current product range offers vanities, cabinets, toilets and baths. Products are sold through retail bathroom merchants New Zealand wide. Newtech prides itself in providing leading edge design and product quality from overseas European markets, while maintaining affordable pricing for New Zealand consumers by manufacturing them here or in overseas factories. Newtech products reach the market through the hard work of its Sales Executives and the demonstrations they provide to retail stores and third party relationships, such as design, architecture and building firms. Purchased in 2000 with 2 staff, Newtech currently has over 25 employees. Products are imported from over multiple global suppliers and dispatched by Newtech s 6000 sq. meter distribution warehouse. Newtech is a growing company that has seen explosive growth in all product categories, especially in the last 3 years. companies overview 3

12 The position of Supply Chain Manager Overview and Vision: Pine Valley Group wants to develop a long-term role for a Supply Chain Manager who will work with the senior management and leadership team of both business units to ensure our strategic company goals are realised. As of today, with the considerable growth of both companies, we are seeking a higher level of expertise to help lead both companies onto the next wave of operational excellence. With our vision to have a world class warehouse and operations department, we want to be the best in New Zealand, with a facility that continues to offer unrivaled, incredible service and delivery to our clients. Pine Valley Group, as of March 2018, has made the following decisions to enable our vision: 1) To build a brand new warehouse and office facility by July The envisioned warehouse will be approximately 6500 sq meters. This new facility will enable both business to operate under one roof (we currently operate on three separate sites). 2) To implement a Warehouse Management System. Whilst product ranges vary greatly between the two companies, our vision is a new facility with automation, technology, process and highly trained staff to be able to jointly warehouse both brands in a cost efficient and effective manner. Role Summary: In summary, this role will report to the Pine Valley Group CEO, and will be responsible for: 1) Running a safety-first work place 2) DIFOT deliverables 3) Developing and recommending improvements to warehouse systems and processes to improve operational efficiency 4) Technology (including ERP, WMS, etc.) utilisation and integrity 5) Playing a key role in achieving the strategic business plan operationally 6) Ensuring agreed measures for profitability and other financial KPIs are met 7) Establishing and enhancing customer relationships and brand experience in conjunction with other areas of the business 8) Lead and develop a professional HR team and provide opportunities for growth and training position overview and summary 12

13 The position of Supply Chain Manager Experience Required: ± Experience with supply chain strategy and design, planning systems development and implementation ± 5 years+ experience in supply chain planning with relevant system skills ± Manufacturing experience ± Ability to establish strategic working relationships across multiple functional areas ± Procurement, purchasing and negotiating skills ± A focus on process and improvement ± Must be comfortable with production and inventory reporting and forecasting ± Confidence with integrated systems as well as a genuine IT savviness ± Health, safety and compliance trained ± Strong communication and influencing skills ± Risk management ± Analytical thinking skills with problem-solving aptitude ± Organizational and leadership skills ± Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or a related field Phased Program: Depending on the final applicant, the first priority focus will be implimenting changes and improvements within Newtech Bathroomware division. The second stage of this role (after approximately six months) will include taking lead responsibilities for the WMS introduction to the business and planning install to the new building. position requirements 13

14 Finding the right fit Living in Wanganui We are fully committed to finding the right person for our Supply Chain Manager role. We understand this will take time and we will continue looking until we find the right candidate. This person may not be currently living in (or near) Wanganui, and may perhaps be living in a larger New Zealand city or even overseas. Because of this, we are willing to help the right candidate into this job by: 1) Helping with relocation costs to Wanganui 2) Assisting in finding suitable housing for rent or sale Many people from outside of Wanganui have relocated to this lovely town in recent years. Wanganui is a town of over 40,000 people and is accessible to multiple neighbouring cities with minimal travel time - 50 minutes from Palmerston North, 2 hours from Wellington, and only 90 minutes away from the great Mt Ruapehu mountain. Air Chathams is Wanganui s local flight service and provides regular and reliable travel to main cities across the country. Housing in Wanganui is very affordable, with large, modern family homes on larger lifestyle sections available between $ k, or smaller properties in excellent condition for $ k.
