Position Purpose Reporting to the Recycling Services Manager, your role will be to apply your skills and experience to effectively oversee the production needs of the division. In this role you are responsible for the supervision of work flow to ensure production demands are met. This is a hands-on position and you are required to maintain and document all requirements relating to production. Integral to the production expectations of the site, you will liaise with customers and suppliers as required whilst maintaining quality standards and ensuring customer expectation. You will use your supervisory skills and experience to oversee work of a complex nature where trade skills or equivalent may be required. You will be responsible for ensuring plant & equipment maintenance schedules are developed and maintained as well maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements. With supervision of production at its core, the role is more than that. You will need to be able to do hands on work in factory environments, motivate & empower other staff and supported employees to achieve, effectively interact and communicate with a variety of stakeholders and have the ability to ensure the administrative requirements of the role (such a paper work and filing) is completed correctly. From time to time you will need to develop and apply innovate methods to assist Supported Employees to achieve vocational goals and meet workplace expectations. When not undertaking tasks directly relating to your role, you are expected to carry out any other task or activity assigned to you by your manager that is within the reasonable expectation of the Grade for this role and/or any lower Grade. Set production goals and priorities with staff and supported employees and take corrective action where needed to achieve maximum resource utilisation. Understand and apply quality control principles. Immediately report any changes in materials or deviations from production methods or specifications that will potentially or actually affect the customer expectation of finished products. Maintain and document all requirements relating to production, quality assessment, and dispatch as required by the customer. Develop & maintain maintenance schedules and carry out scheduled maintenance Maintain production and maintenance records ensuring a high level of record keeping and accuracy. Schedule and supervise all customer jobs including documentation and processing of relevant paperwork. Advise your Manager on current lead times and any problems which may impact on customer service. Ensure effective communication with customers and suppliers. Conduct Toolbox Meetings as required and participate in any other workplace consultative meetings. Maintain production and maintenance records ensuring a high level of record keeping and accuracy. Consult with management and other employees on safety related issues Remuneration & Performance Expectation This is a Graded position classified in Schedule A of the Flagstaff Group Ltd Certified Agreement 2004, and in addition to any Performance Accountabilities & Requirements identified in this document, you will be required to be willing to undertake any task that could be reasonably expected within the classifications of this Grade and any lower Grades within the limits of your skills (i.e. training, qualifications, experience and expertise) regardless of whether those skills were obtained working at Flagstaff or otherwise.
