Through our world-leading certification and eco-labelling program, we are helping to create a more sustainable seafood market and, importantly, better managed oceans. We work with a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, retailers, food processors, the fishing industry and governments. The Netherlands is one of the most advanced markets in the global MSC program, in terms of market share, consumer recognition and MSC labelled products. The Belgium market is growing rapidly. Successful communication and marketing are vital to driving awareness on seafood sustainability issues, the MSC program and the MSC label. Background on the role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic marketer for the vacant position of Marketing Manager, Benelux. You would lead the MSC s marketing and events activities, in the Benelux with your main focus on the Netherlands and Belgium, promoting and enhancing the organisation s profile as well as consumer and partner engagement. You are primarily responsible for marketing (joint activities with supply chain partners), partner communication (newsletters), event management, and reaching seafood consumer audiences. Reporting to the Program Director, Benelux based in The Hague, the Marketing Manager Benelux (MMBLX) has the exciting role of taking the MSC s message to our consumer audiences in the Netherlands and Belgium. Internally, you will cooperate closely with the Global marketing team, based in London, as well as with the Communications Manager - Media & Digital, Benelux (COMMDBLX), and commercial outreach staff for the Netherlands and Belgium, who are also based in The Hague/Antwerp. Externally, you will collaborate with creative / marketing agencies, partners in retail, supply chain, foodservice and fisheries, as well as other ecolabel organisations and NGO s. You are responsible for a diverse range of activities to promote the MSC s mission and ensure successful delivery of the marketing objectives for the Benelux region. To be successful in the role, you will have experience in developing and delivering high-quality, innovative marketing campaigns across multiple and integrated channels, including digital. You will oversee the development of marketing campaigns, including agency engagement, building partnerships (with commercial parties, influencers and/or ambassadors) and brand management. You are also responsible for reviewing marketing collateral material and establishing and implementing effective planning. Your role is hands-on with day-to-day operational activities and you will therefore need relevant technical skills and abilities.
