Job Overview Briefly summarise the job s primary purpose (why the job exists). The OHSE Manager is accountable to lead, coach and drive the OHSE culture across the BU s Christchurch locations with a focus of Zero Injury mindset in all activity. Amcor recognises safety as a core vlue of the organisation and has a strong safety culture; this role needs to retain and continually build on this base. The Amcor Safety Way is proactive through risk-based management. By engaging with key stakeholders and customers, the OHSE Manager will lead, coach and champion efforts to take all reasonably practical control steps to reduce risk to co-workers, plant and the environment and to advance OHSE performance. 2. This is a multi-site business with 2 operational sites in Auckland and 2 in Christchurch with 430 co-workers. The NZ Business Group operates in a fast paced changing manufacturing environment which encompass blown film production, printing, lamination, slitting and conversion of flexible packaging as well as support functions such as Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain & Warehousing and central Services (OHSE/HR/ IT/ Finance). 3. Principal Accountabilities 1

What are the key accountabilities for this role? Strategic Promote Amcor s H&S strategy of promoting safe working behaviour, mitigating risk to employees general safety & wellbeing. Ability to convert Amcor & AFAP NZ OHSE aspirational goals into purposeful and detailed activity plans Assist the sites with the development and planning of their annual OHSE plans, ensuring that site high/ critical risks, regulatory and stakeholder requirements are included and prioritised. Ensure plans are aligned with budget planning cycles and procedures and that critical resources for the successful implementation of plans are identified. Drive full completion of assigned OHSE campaigns by due date, ensuring that co-workers are fully engaged to meet their accountabilities and that requirements are embedded into operational activity Assist with the development and implementation of NZ / AFAP Safety Management systems requirements to contribute to standardisation across the New Zealnd sites Identify and coach co-workers who demonstrate a stronger than normal contribution and aptitude for improving the OHSE culture Ensure leadership behaviours exemplify the Amcor values Ensure co-workers are fully engaged in creating and sustaining a robust Safety Culture Operational Implementation Co-ordinate hazard/ risk management (Identification/ Assessment/ Control/ Monitoring) and tracking/ reporting systems; ensure risk registers are current and reviewed regularly; Provide regular reports on the status of Risk Management to the site leadership team / NZ OHSE Manager/ AFAP (incl. Key risks & their control) In partnership with line management, actively manage occupational health, safety and welfare, including management systems, policies & procedures and legislative, regulatory and licensing requirements through the provision or sourcing of technical assistance, guidance and direction as required. Partner with line management to increase their understanding and delivery of their statutory and stakeholder responsibilities for occupational health, safety, wellbeing, injury prevention,risk reduction, environmental impact Co-ordinate the H&S committee meetings & records; oversee timely closure of Corrective Actions; co-ordinate site-based elections for H&S Representatives and support training and education applicable to their role. Complete regular OHSE training needs analysis; co-ordinate OHSE training incl. records maintenance and identification of appropriate providers; deliver agreed training to co-workers/ visitors/ contractors Support Change Management activity by ensuring OHSE touch-points are identified and necessary actions to achive/ maintain compliance are included in the plans & activities Co-ordinate OHSE internal & external audits, incl provision of information for customer audits to verify compliance to stakeholder & regulatory requirements; track and drive CAs to closure Provide leadership & support for the investigation and rectification of any OHSE events; where appropriate, coordnate the loading of information into the company reporting system, compile & distribuite lessons learned information Accurately maintain all OHSE related data; complete trend analysis at least annually and make recommendations to the site leadership team for improvements/ remedial actions Effectively manage workers compensation matters, including optimal rehabilitation, case management and return-to-work programmes Support Monthly Toolbox talks through the preparation of site leaders and resource materials Maintain oversight of the site s Management SLT (Safety Leaderships Tour) programme In partnership with the site Operations leadership team, identify & drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, incl waste, VOC & energy usage reduction Compliance Administer and monitor measures necessary to comply with OHSE statutes and applicable rules (e.g. Codes of Practice/ Standards/ By-laws..) ; ensure that statutory requirements are being upheld throughout the organisation Ensure that documentation required by Regulatory Agencies and Stakeholders is provided in full and on time. Ensure plant & equipment is and remains fully compliant. 2

Ensure that all co-workers who have assigned accountabilities for OHSE activity are fully informed of those accountabilities and that they are supported with the appropriate tools/ resources, education and training. 4. Major challenges & complexities Describe the most difficult types of problems and/or major challenges faced in performing the job. Negotiating priority for OHSE actions in a fast paced, constantly changing manufacturing environment as the business moves from separate sites to one NZ business. Maintaining a high degree of knowledge of site OHSE risks and implementation of appropriate measures to eliminate or reduce risk impact Ensuring policy, procedures and desired behaviours are understood by all co-workers; that they are implemented into daily operation and are constantly monitored for compliance Driving to the Goal of Zero Injuries/OHSE events, incl Fire events Meeting Environmental Goals & Targets ; increasing site environmental knowledge Maintaining all required OHSE systems/ behaviours on the sites during periods of change 5. Formal Qualifications and Experience Essential: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental OR with a Health, Safety or Environmentrelated endorsement ( R) Minimum of 8 years in Health & Safety within a New Zealand manufacturing environment ( R ) Proficient knowledge of relevant NZ statutes pertaining to Health & Safety/ Environment ( R ) 3

Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHS&E) Responsibilities & Authority A personal (and ongoing) awareness of the hazards and risks which arise from Amcor s undertaking in relation to individual area of responsibility. OHS&E and Sustainability development policies communicated and deployed in area. Ensure all co-workers, contractors and visitors have undertaken departmental OHS&E inductions. Safe Operating Procedures (SOP s) to be developed and implemented in accordance with departmental risk profile. Ensure safe systems of work (SOP s, JSEA s, Permits, risk assessment, workplace inspections etc) are implemented and monitored as per the OHS&E management system. Ensure safety is an agenda item in all team meetings. Ensure required OHS&E training is undertaken. Ensure all hazards/incidents are reported, documented and investigated and corrective actions are addressed. Resources are allocated to WHSE functions in the area of responsibility.
