KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff. The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for: 1. To work with the Major Gift Manager to set key objectives and manage and monitor Major Donor fundraising initiatives and strategy 2. To participate in the development of plans to maximise income from affluent &/or influential individuals, supported by objectives needed to achieve agreed targets 3. Co-ordinates and presents fundraising pitches for new opportunities 4. To explore relationship building opportunities from Major Donors on existing database 5. To develop and maintain individual cultivation and retention strategies for each accountmanaged donor in consultation with the programme unit and the major gift manager and communication unit, as appropriate. 6. To work closely with all sections of the Fundraising Department ensuring opportunities for Islamic Relief are maximised and campaigns are integrated. 7. Provides the day-to-day support for HNW individuals, ensuring they receive accurate updates and reports 8. Identify HNW donors with work colleagues and creates and maintains a contact list, which is regularly updated with relevant information 9. To liaise with the Supporter Care Unit to ensure that all data is captured correctly 10. Maintains accurate income and forecast records 11. To supervise and manage the work of temporary staff, volunteers and interns as required. 12. To ensure that all fundraising approaches build Islamic Relief s brand and reputation 13. Contributes to maintenance of central team filing / administration systems 14.
