ST GILS HOSPIC JOB SCRIPTION 1 2 Job Title: igital Marketing Coordinator Responsible to: Marketing Manager St Giles Hospice St Giles Hospice is a registered charity offering high-quality specialist care free of charge for people living with diseases which may not be curable as well as providing support for their families and carers. Services include a team of community-based St Giles clinical nurse specialists, two state of the art in-patient facilities, ay Hospice, Hospice at Home, Bereavement and Family Support, and an internationally renowned Lymphoedema Clinic. Patients come from across the hospice's catchment area, which ranges from Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Atherstone in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south. Care is offered at the hospice's centres in Whittington, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall and in patients' own homes across the region. St Giles spends over 9 million a year providing its specialist services and with little more than a third of this funded by the Government, the registered charity relies heavily on donations and income generation from the local community. Outline of Post This post has responsibility for the delivery of digital marketing activity for St Giles Hospice. You will be supporting the marketing team with digital marketing campaign activity in collaboration with our internal departments, particularly; Fundraising, Lottery and Shops to ensure they fully implement their marketing plans in order to generate funds for St Giles. You will work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Campaigns Coordinator to devise, implement and report on campaigns as part of the annual marketing calendar. St Giles launched its 5 year strategy in April 2017, has successfully rebranded and is at an exciting point in its development. Fundraising will be key to its success and marketing is crucial to support this. 3 Job Purpose:
To support the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver marketing campaigns. To work with the wider fundraising, lottery and retail teams to plan, develop and execute their annual marketing activity and campaigns calendar as well as the wider hospice marketing campaigns activity. The post holder will work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Campaigns Coordinator to co-ordinate and implement digital marketing activity for Income Generation (IG) teams making sure that IG teams have marketing support and expertise to support their activities in a timely, efficient and professional manner. The post holder will also be responsible for overseeing organisation messages ensuring that there is joined-up thinking across the teams to maximise income generation. 4 Job Activities: Main Responsibilities To work with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Campaigns Coordinator in the development and implementation of a marketing campaigns strategy to support income generation targets. Plan, co-ordinate and deliver digital marketing projects. To take responsibility for the development and delivery, in collaboration with other departments, of digital campaigns including but not exclusive to; events, community and corporate fundraising, in memoriam (Celebrate Lives Lived and Light up a Life) and legacy campaigns (including Make Your Will Fortnight), lottery campaigns, twice yearly raffle campaigns and retail seasonal and ongoing activity. Research and develop new digital marketing opportunities to help maximise income generation opportunities. Act as a brand guardian across our digital landscape, liaising with colleagues for sign off and approvals. eliver digital marketing services within brand guidelines. To work alongside the Marketing Campaigns Coordinator to ensure reporting and administration of the Marketing epartment is done efficiently and in a professional manner. To produce reporting for digital marketing campaigns to inform future campaigns. To work with the wider income generation teams to ensure excellent supporter journeys and identify cross team working opportunities. To monitor the wider marketing, hospice and charity environment, to highlight opportunities and trends for further development. Contribute to the development of long term marketing plans by identifying new opportunities and trends in traditional and digital media. Collate content and write copy that is accurate, appropriate, well-written and outlines key information for digital channels. Collate relevant information to produce summary reports of digital marketing activity and campaigns. To support IG teams in developing digital marketing and communications plans to generate new income and develop additional income from existing supporters. Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation. Undertake other marketing related duties as required.
Marketing Responsibilities nsure all marketing materials meet legal, compliance and regulatory requirements including IOF, Charity Commission, GPR, and hospice policies and any other compliance bodies that may be appropriate depending on activity. Website - Work closely with web agency partner to support development and build of the website including writing, editing, proofing and publishing content, using the CMS (Wordpress) to help maintain the site, consistently improving its quality, accuracy and optimisation for search engines. Listen to the feedback and needs of internal and external stakeholders. Use analytical tools to report on website performance. Copy and content creation - Writing and editing copy and content for digital marketing activity, proof content, liaise with third party designers and suppliers as well as internal colleagues for sign off. evelop and manage digital marketing activity calendar. mail - Coordinate email calendar and create emails using templates in Mailchimp. Report on email activity and contribute to the development of the email marketing strategy. Social media - evelop and optimise digital and social media outputs, including text, images, video and audio to reach wide-ranging target audiences, including as part of larger campaigns which require coordination with other teams in the organisation. Create content and coordinate the social media calendar across our social media networks. Contribute to the development and delivery of the social media strategy. aily monitoring and reporting of social media activity. Update and maintain image library and permissions, where applicable. Assist with the day-to-day running of the marketing department providing support to the Marketing Manager, assisting with events, functions and other tasks as required. Financial Responsibilities Work with the Marketing Manager and IG teams to ensure that digital marketing activity is implemented within department/project budget and identify opportunities for cost-savings where possible. In collaboration with other departments, ensure that the digital marketing activity is undertaken in line with their product and income plans. Produce financial reports and analysis where appropriate and when requested by senior management.
