Job Title Senior Community Sports Officer/Community Sports Officer Salary Commensurate with experience Hours of Work You will have a standard working week of a minimum of 37.5 hours. You will be required to work outside normal office hours; at evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and any other days that are deemed reasonable. You will also be required to work all home matchdays on top of your core hours (to be recognised in the salary package) Location Responsible To Responsible For Contractual Status Preston North End FC, Sir Tom Finney Way, Deepdale, Preston, PR1 6RU. Head of Community Futsal programme delivery and school sports provision. Full time after an initial six month probationary period. 2. Overall purpose of the Job To develop a strong presence for the Sir Tom Finney Foundation within the local community. The development and implementation of a new and exciting Futsal project in partnership with the Football League Trust and the development of additional community initiatives within the region, working essentially with football, sport and learning up to and including post 16 level. Seek to develop the overall player base and enhance the social development of young people within our community. Senior Community Sports Officer/Community Sports Officer will seek to improve overall coaching and playing standards and will be responsible for the quality of coaching delivery to the schools, holiday soccer and activity camps within the region and provide a link to local clubs.
3. Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Community to deliver a complete and effective community programme including the Futsal sport and education programme. To design and deliver a quality Futsal coaching programme and to recruit young adult learners for the project. To work in partnership with education resources in delivering an all-round, first class Futsal project. To build quality working relationships with local primary, secondary and higher level education centres. To build quality working relationship with projects partners and sponsors. To positively promote all our community activities including all education projects. To plan, prepare and deliver multiple school holiday football and activity programmes. To promote the work of the organisation and ensure positive media is achieved through internal and external mediums locally, regionally and nationally where applicable. Working alongside the Football Club to develop programmes and initiatives that incorporate a positive matchday experience and support Preston North End FC s agenda of generating new fans for the long term benefit of the club. To represent the community department at special community events/presentations/meetings. To provide monthly reports to the Head of Community. To ensure that optimum resources are procured to deliver all projects. To accommodate the work experience students within your working schedule during the designated periods agreed. To attend professional development courses where appropriate. Any other duties that are deemed appropriate by the Head of Community

General To at all times represent the Sir Tom Finney Foundation, Preston North End Football Club, its partners, sponsors and associates in a professional manner regarding to dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude, conduct and professionalism. PERSON SPECIFICATION 1. Qualifications Essential DESCRIPTION FA Level 2 coaching qualification, working towards UEFA B certificate. FA Youth Module 1 and 2, working towards FA Youth Module 3 and assessment. FA licensed member Educated to degree level or equivalent Full UK driving licence. Car owner. Desirable Introduction to Futsal coaching qualification. One other national governing body qualification. Multi-skills training. Coaching disabled footballers. Mini bus licence. 2. Experience / Attributes Essential Must have relevant experience. This will include coaching within a sports development environment, experience of coaching and/or playing Futsal and project management skills. Working within partnership and multi-agency programmes. Working with young adults, primary and secondary school aged pupils. Activity planning, project management and staff management. Experience of delivering commercially viable coaching schemes. Experience of writing reports and excellent IT skills.
Ability to be able to handle multiple workloads and prioritise in order to meet deadlines. Desirable Experience of applying and accessing external funding. Experience of working within an education environment. Experience of setting and managing budgets. Working within a professional football club environment.
