Students will apply and showcase career competencies they ve developed throughout the year in VE. Competitions include Business Plan, Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, and Financial. International Trade Exhibition The International Trade Exhibition is the largest exhibition of practice businesses in the U.S. Every industry from entertainment, to business services, to travel and tourism is on display as 175 student businesses exhibit and sell their products and services to consumers and businesses inside and outside of the VE program. Global Business Challenge Students representing different countries work in multinational teams to identify the challenges, opportunities, and risks involved in a global business by examining a realworld, college-level business case study. 8 Exhibitor Details Registration & Payment 1. Register online: veinternational.org/2018-youthbusiness-summit/register. 2. Upon registration, a confirmation will be sent to you. 3. Submit materials that come with your registration package (e.g. print ad, digital ad). 4. Welcome packet with final details will be sent to you. If paying by credit card, you will receive an online payment form from VE. If paying by check, make checks payable to Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. and mail to: ATTN: Nick Chapman Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. 122 Amsterdam Ave, Rm 251 New York, NY Full payment must be received no later than Friday, March 30. Cancellation Cancellation after March 30 obligates the Exhibitor to full payment. If space is not occupied on any of the days of the YBS, VEI shall have the right to use such space as it sees fit. Shipment All shipments must arrive no earlier than Monday, April 16. Any shipments delivered prior to this date will be refused and returned to the sender. There is no storage space available at Pier 92 to hold these items. The exhibitor agrees to ship at his/her own risk and expense all articles to be exhibited. These will be distributed at registration upon checking in. Setup Booth space will be available for setup on Monday, April 16 at 1:00 PM. Adhesive labels, stickers, etc., may not be placed on walls or floors of the venue at any time. Display items may be suspended from drape rails using S-hooks provided. No items may be pinned or taped to the drape. All displays, tables, chairs, etc., must fit within the confines of the booth and may not extend into the aisle. Prohibited Items Propane-based equipment Helium tanks/helium balloons Hotplates/cooking appliances Open-flame devices Unwrapped food for distribution Power tools Security Although VEI will take every precaution to provide adequate security during the event, it does not assume any responsibility for lost or stolen articles. The Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own exhibit material and should insure his/her exhibit against loss or damage. Please report any security issue that would affect the event to trade show management at the registration booth. Please note that we will have overnight security for the duration of YBS. Liability VEI is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage that may occur to exhibit booth or personnel. Exhibitor assumes entire responsibility and agrees to protect, indemnify and hold VEI harmless against all claims, losses and damages to persons or property as a result of Exhibitor s installation, removal or use of the exhibition premises. In addition, Exhibitor acknowledges that VEI do not maintain insurance covering Exhibitor s property and that it is the sole responsibility of Exhibitor to obtain necessary insurance covering property damage.
