3 Geographical position: District Edineț is situated in the North-West of the Republic of Moldova and borders with the district Briceni in the North, with the district Râşcani in the South, the districts Donduşeni and Ocniţa in the East and Romania in the West. The area of the district is about 933 km2. Number of population: According to the statistic data on , the total number of district population constitutes 80,7 thousand people, including urban population 25,9 thousand people (32,1%), rural population 54,8 thousand people (67,9%).

4 Economical indicators: Agriculture is the main economical branch of the district Edineț. The favorable geographical position contributes to the growth of: sugar beet; corn; sun flower; soya; spicate cultures; fruits and vegetables. An advantage for the agricultural producers is the possibility to deliver the harvest to the canneries from the district. Volume of the agricultural products increased in 2016 in comparison with 2015 for: corn with 21,8%; sun flower with 33,4%; soya with 1,7%; vegetables with 35,0 %.

5 Enterprise with foreign Capital Moldova Zahăr SRL It was founded by Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa S.A. - polish association of sugar producers, which took over sugar factory from Cupcini. Moldova Zahăr SRL is one of the leading providers for both local candy and canned producers as well as for final consumers. The company managed to revitalize the factory, and to modernize it preserving the best Moldovan production traditions. In 2016 the volume of manufactured production increased: tones in comparison with tones in 2015, registering a growth of 21%.

6 Enterprise with foreign capital Cannery "Natur Bravo" SA Cupcini It is the leader in processing fruits and vegetables, and one of the largest exporters of Moldova. It produces concentrated apple juice, vegetables and fruit canned, juices and smoothies. The factory has its own railway line, what permites to its partners to benefit from this mean of transport optimising the logistical costs of the both parts. In 2016 there were produced fruit and vegetable canned estimated to lei in comparison with lei in 2015, registering a growth of 75%.

8 The dairy factory Inlac S.A. Inlac S.A. has a tradition of over 30 years in the dairy industry. The factory produces a large variety of goods: pasteurized fresh milk, cheeses, kefir, sour cream, yogurt, powdered milk. The volume of milk and cream constituted in tones, in comparison with 911,6 tones - in 2015, registering an increase with 4,2%. The volume of cheeses increased in 2016 with 59% in comparison with 2015, being 204 tones in 2016 and 128 tones in 2015.

10 SRL Vilora VS The main type of activity: fruit growing. The orchard occupies a surface of 1029 ha. It possesses an apple sorting line with a capacity of 40 tones per day. In 2016 the enterprise gathered: apples tones; sugar beet tones; wheat tones; plums tones.

12 Peasant Household Scutaru Victor The main type of activity: fruit growing. The orchard occupies a surface of 80 ha. It possesses an apple sorting line with a capacity of 40 tones per day and a refrigerator with a capacity of 2000 tones. It exports the apple production on the Russian market in proportion of 90%. In 2016 the volume of apple production constituted 1100 tones in sum of lei.

14 The Industrial Park Edineț The Industrial Park occupies a surface of 18 hectares. It is a public property and serves as an important platform for economic development. The office of the Industrial Park was build on the basis of the North Regional Development Agency project. The sum of the project 12 mln. lei. On the territory of the Industrial Park activates the juice factory T.B. Fruit S.R.L, that was build by the Ukrainian Company T.B. Fruit. The factory is equipped with a modern equipment for the production of concentrated apple juice. In 2016 the factory produced concentrated apple juice in quantity of tone in sum of lei, registering an increase of 6500 tones in comparison with Soon other 3 economical agents will begin their activity: SRL AGRODENIDAN, Aspect Fruct, Eco - Fruct.

17 SRL BIOCĂMARA SRL "BIOCAMARA" is a company founded by the Religious Community Monastery Nașterea Domnului" in the village Zabriceni. It is oriented to wards producing a wide range of ecological products, of which the most important are mixtures of herbs and dried fruits and commercialization of poultry reared on base of natural ecological food, honey and other certified ecologic products. In 2016 it was initiated the process or producing herbal tea with commercial brand "Zabriceni..

18 The Beekeeping Centre The beekeeping Centre from Cupcini, Edinet, was created within a pilot project for regional development, implemented by the North Regional Development Agency. In The Center will activate an informational and marketing department, an acquisition, processing and bee product packaging department which will be equipped with modern equipment. Expected results: a favorable environment for investment; bee products of quality; providing services of storage, processing and bee product packaging; providing the export of bee products; development of business environment in beekeeping domain.
