2 We are introducing several new hybrids for the 2015 crop year. We encourage you to try these new hybrids as many contain new genetics and look very interesting. Three of these qualify for E-Z Refuge, also known as refuge in the bag. There are no marketing issues with any of these hybrids. Please be aware that E-Z Refuge acres cannot be sprayed with Liberty herbicide as the 5% refuge component does not contain the Liberty Trait and the necessary refuge would be severely injured. As we go to print, the results of the 2014 University of Wisconsin Soybean Trials have not been released, but the 2013 trials showed excellent results with the O Brien soybean line up. We have had many reports of great yields especially with the O Soy245NR2Y variety. Please note the change in the microbial silage inoculants; we are offering some new products that are easier to use. Again, we stress the importance of checking hybrid variety numbers, bags, bag tags and labels, making sure the seed product is compatible with your cropping and spraying plans. O SOY172NR2Y O Soy172NR2Y has an all around defense package. A IDC score of 2.0, white mold of 1.5 and BSR of 1.5. It s a semi-bush type for rows or drilling. A SDS score of 1.8. Standability is excellent, rated at 1.4. Its protein is 40.2 and oil Plant height is medium. O Soy172NR2Y carries the Rps1c gene. O SOY185NR2Y O Soy185NR2Y is a taller plant type with a branching habit. It works in drilled or rows. Seed oil of 22.2 for high oil content. A protein of Relative maturity of 1.9 to 2.0. Emergence of 1.0 for early planting. A very good standing bean with a rating of 1.6. It has a IDC of 1.8 for the northern area. Brown stem rot rating of 1.7 and white mold of 2.0. It also has the Rps1c gene. O SOY245NR2Y O Soy245NR2Y is a 2.4 to 2.5 maturity. SCN rating of 1.6. A fantastic yielder in its maturity. Above average height with lots of intermediate branches for more pods. Emergence, shatter and lodging are all 1.0. It carries the Rps1c gene with outstanding field tolerance. This bean has a fantastic yield output in the 2.4 maturity range and works well in rows or drilled. O SOY206NLL This is a bush type soybean having a 2.1 maturity rating. A medium height plant with an excess of branches for lots of extra pods. The SCN score of 1.8 is excellent for its maturity. It has a white mold rating of 1.8. 18 OATS BADGER Badger is an early season oat developed at the University of Wisconsin. It has the same heading date as Dane and is two days earlier than Kame. Badger has had high consistently high grain yields and excellent test weight. Lodging percentage is about equal to Vista. Badger is one inch shorter than Kame.
