Our Culture : A successful collaboration of more than ten years between the public and private sectors Numerous projects in collaboration on key crops Development of efficient Tools and Platforms A lot of discovery on Model Plants and Crops with many scientific records (hundreds of publications) Strong collaborations with other National Plant Genomic initiatives and Plant KBBE programms Co-management of a performant system for Industrial Property more than fifty patents- and its Valorisation An Opportunity : The French Government loan for «Industrial Investments for the Future» launched in 2010 A Need : Develop Knowledge and Innovation to ensure a performant and sustainable agriculture in Europe 2

3 Objectives Aim : Strengthen a French scientific public/private community in green biotechnologies and promote a global vision of the work on the national territory and international cooperation. Strategic Objectives : Agriculture adaptation to global changes Better use of water and mineral resources Improvement of yields and crop quality in economic and environmental high performance conditions Plant adaptation to new uses 3

4 Missions (1/2) Label, coordinate and organize research projects in green biotechnologies at national level. Encourage research projects in the field of the GIS and ensure the organization of these projects. Mobilize the necessary resources to these objectives and encourage the sharing of resources and expertise among members. 4

5 Missions (2/2) Develop a strategic position in Industrial Property Develop partnerships at national or international level in the field of green biotechnologies Coordinate and develop with its members science and technology intelligence and use this to evaluate projects set up opportunities Contribute to the research training of young researchers Promote green biotechnologies via concerted communications and external representation 5
