Neville Chemical Company INTERACTIVE BROCHURE May 2016 Focused on Performance and Partnering for Tomorrow s Products
Chapter 1 Company Background
Section 1 A Pioneer A Pioneer in the Hydrocarbon Resin Industry with a Global Presence Today Our founder, Harvey N. Dauler, was credited with opening the world s first gasoline service station. It was during World War I that Mr. Dauler had another idea. Movie 1.1 The Beginning This entrepreneur realized that steel manufacturers had no use for coke byproducts generated from the large production of steel for the war effort. In 1925, along with William S. Gardiner and Edwin Hodge, Jr., Dauler established the Neville Chemical Company to manufacture coumarone-indene resins and solvents from coke by-products. These resins were first used in the production of floor tiles, protective coatings and molded rubber items. Neville Chemical Company maintains its secure global presence by combining the strengths of our past with a continuing dedication to innovation, partnering and performance. 2
Section 2 Company SINCE 1925 For over 90 years, Neville Chemical resins have been used in more than 700 different manufactured products in a wide variety of industries...from adhesives and sealants...to printing inks...to paints and coatings...to rubber. As a leading global manufacturer and distributor of hydrocarbon resins, resin solutions, plasticizers and non-staining antioxidants, Neville Chemical partners with our customers and suppliers to design our resins to find innovative, safer and superior ways for our customers to develop their products. 3
Section 3 Innovation Neville Chemical s extensive research and development efforts are integrated with an effective Quality Management System that s customer-driven and focused on developing cost-efficient solutions. This approach makes Neville Chemical a reliable partner for quality products, responsive service and the technical support our customers need to achieve sustained and profitable growth in their markets. 4
Chapter 2 Products As a leading manufacturer of Hydrocarbon Resins, Neville Chemical Company offers a broad range of HCR Chemistry Families in a large variety of grades.
