2 25 th and 26 th November 2014 VIGO, Spain The ISLAS 2014 event will take place at Centro Social Afundación in Vigo (Pontevedra, Spain). The conference is organized by the Marine Research Institute (IIM-CSIC) within the project Labelfish: Atlantic Network on Genetic Control of Fish and Seafood Labelling and Traceability. The conference will bring together researchers, scientists, policy makers, industrial professionals and students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas and research results related to labelling, traceability and authentication of Seafood. Deadline 31 st October 2014 For registration only click here Abstracts submission for ISLAS 2014 Abstracts related with different aspects of seafood labelling and traceability, consumer perception of labelling and traceability, sustainability and conservation issues and development of authentication methodologies should describe original work, the approach used and a clear statement of the main results and conclusions. Abstracts should be no longer than 2500 characters. The ISLAS 2014 language will be English. The submission deadline is October 10 st. Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited on the topics below: Seafood Labelling and Traceability: industry perspective Seafood Labelling and Traceability: Consumers perspective and education Seafood Labelling: Environmental and Conservation issues Progress on Seafood Authentication Methodologies

3 Oral presentations The time available for each speaker will be 15 minutes. Presentations should be prepared using PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx format). Due to the limited number of oral presentations some authors who have submitted an abstract for an oral presentation might be asked to submit a poster presentation instead. Posters Posters should be made in standard poster size 90 cm X 120 cm (width x height). Poster award: the scientific committee will select the best poster, which author will be awarded with a Best Poster Award certification. Legal Considerations By submitting an abstract, authors agree to grant the organizers of the conference the right to publish it in the book of abstracts, to be distributed at the ISLAS The material should not have been published elsewhere before the meeting. The conference organizers will aim to include most relevant papers in a special issue of FRONTIERS ( Authors should ensure that publication in the book of abstracts does not conflict with the rights of third parties, nor violates non-disclosure agreements or copyright laws.
