For Gleam city Surat we make two applications Web Application as well as Android Application. In Web Application, We can provide static information like places in Surat and give the link of Android Application. This application can guide any user for the information such as hospitals, restaurants, historical places, banks, colleges, schools, government offices etc. It can also provide the timetable related information for Bus station, Railway station and air-flights. The user can also get information about approximate fare between source and destination. This application also facilitates the alert message of intermediate station between source and destination. This application shows the most searched places quickly. The user can share their current location at different social networking sites. The user can write their reviews about places where he/she visited. The user can register their own business in this application and then this business related information can be places by the administrator in this application. The user can inform or complain about any issue through this application by uploading the location related information and photo of that place. Any company can advertise about job vacancies in this application through registration and approval by administrator. If user need any help related to different persons having profession like carpenter, mechanics, plumber, electrician etc. then it is possible through this application as per their location. So overall information related to the Surat city can be obtained easily and quickly through this application. Key words: Surat, city, places, information, business location. INTRODUCTION With 4.6 million people, Surat is Gujarat s second largest city and a major economic hub. It is India s 9th largest metropolitan area and World s 4th fastest developing city(as per study conducted by City Mayors Foundation). Surat City covers very wide area. Place searching for specific requirement is typically time consuming. User faced problem related to bus-time, train time, Air flight time at travelling. User also faced problem related fare of unknown places and job searching in surat city. There are also many problems related to Surat City. Such as, dirty area, traffic, leakage in many area, so user can not directly contact to Surat municipality. If user wants advertised of their business then he/she have to contact many people or advertising company. A. Surat City Guide II. LITERATURE SURVEY Surat City Guide is best app to find important places such as ATM, School, Library, Book Store, hospital, Dentist, Restaurant, Bus stand and etcetera with their review and Fig. 2: of surat airport Fig. 3: Bus Stop in surat Problem: In this application user can see resultantly one time and next time user can see message like no result found. 2 B. Surat Myworld Surat My World application describes about the beautiful city of Surat. When user connects with Facebook and Google account it also ask to give proper location. It did not successfully retrieve the area and give error. This application is also failed to add new user. D. Surat Auto Rickshaw This application is help to user calculate Surat auto Rickshaw fare of day and night. 4 E. Autometer This application also provides the fare between source to destination with their distance along with route and traffic of different cities. Rajkot Cityguide Also refer website of Rajkot CityGuide, where all information related to Rajkot city are given. Hospital, Hotels, Schools, Banks, etc in Rajkot City. Fresh news are given in this Website.[1] G. Motivation from Survey Android is a great mobile platform that offers a range of features and functionalities to its users especially businessmen. The Android application development is one such process that can help businesses in their business. Google s Android Operating System in mobile phones is still relatively new, but Android Operating System has been progressing quite rapidly. The best part of android platform is that it is an open source platform, so there is no need to spend a huge amount of money on getting license to work on it. With increasing popularity of Android the number of applications has also been increased. With 4.6 million people, Surat is Gujarat s second largest city and a major economic hub. It is India s 9th largest metropolitan area and World s 4th fastest developing city (as per study conducted by City Mayors Foundation). As per GDP ranking of Indian cities, it is ranked 8th with a GDP of $40 billion, with estimates of $57 billion GDP by 2050.The city is popular for its diamond trade, and it singlehandedly accounts for 99% of global diamond polishing and cutting industry. Surat exports $15 billion worth of diamonds from India, which is highest in Asia. Despite being such a major economic hub, Surat witnessed a devastating plague outbreak in 1994, which killed 54 people, and created a state of terror in and around the city. Major travel restrictions were put into place, and city suffered heavily for it. Proper urban planning and timely action could have prevented such an incidence at one of India s richest cities. III. PROPOSED WORK AND SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE Main aim in developing Gleam city Surat is to provide an easy way to guide the people about Surat city through this android Application. This application is very much useful who are new to Surat and who want to visit Surat. Through this application the people are attract to visit the Surat. The Core purpose of designing Gleam city Surat is to cover the whole city information to easy search with their location. So, user can easily find the place where he/she want to reach. Our system has also web application. In web application user can see places of Surat and link of android application. This application provide following functionalities which are common for all system user. Log in /Registration form: User and admin should register and log in the system by giving proper detail. Places information: User can search information for particular place such as name, address, website, location on Google map etc. And also admin can change information, delete information, retrieve information of places. Time Table : User can retrieve the time-table for railway station, bus station and airport. Fare information: Admin should fill the fare information like id, source, destination and cost to store the data of fare in database and also admin can change All rights reserved by 211

5 information, delete information, retrieve information of staff. Alert voice message/popup message for Intermediate station: When any user want to stop at any intermediate place between source to destination he/she can put alert voice message/popup message with/without own notes. Review Portal: Here user can give review about the place which they have visited. They can also delete and update their review. Complain Portal: Here user can give complain about any issue related to Surat city and also delete and update their complain. Add Profession: User can also add their own business with location, name and address into this application with approval by the admin. Share on Social Network: User can share their location on different social networking site and also update and delete it. Job vacancy/job advertisement: Company can put their job vacancies through registration and after approval by the admin the user can see the advertisement. website and user fill proper detail of profession with address of profession. Then admin send the one letter physically in which one random code, after that user fill this code into continuous process of verification and then business add into application. CONCLUSION Through this application user can easily find information related to Surat city. There are no need to download any other application, Google search and any other resources. So, it not time consuming to search on different resources. It is easily provides the place information with their review. So, user can easily identify which place is suitable for them. User can also complain related to any issue.so, it is easily solved in future. It is also provide the fare information, place information, job information, alert popup/message of intermediate station and add own profession. So, all essential information and facility of the Surat city is provides to the user. V. FUTURE ENHANCEMENT For future enhancement, in add profession module can make more reliable.
