Solution MGM Mirage used IBM Information Server in an SOA to implement a second generation warehouse project with internal technical resources Profiles source data, creates data quality processes, and integrates data into CRM warehouse, across all customers, properties and revenue lines. Web service process for real time updates into warehouse for security, marketing and CRM activity. Business Benefits Achieved self-sufficiency in managing their EDW, eliminating reliance on 3 rd party development and reducing maintenance costs. Wanted to centralize information to improve monthly delivery windows, reduce downstream re-interpretation of data, and leverage expensive I/T resources. Needed a highly automated integration process, straightforward change management, and ability to handle a diversity of data sources. Solution Used IBM Information Server DataStage to implement a customer profitability data warehouse (CPDW) that consolidated information on private banking and corporate clients. Receives 300+ feeds from product systems worldwide, then transforms and loads into CPDW. 1TB+ of data is now updated every 48 hours with daily refreshes planned. Business Benefits Over 20,000 internal customers, including account executives, financial analysts and business managers, rely on CPDW as their single authoritative source on customer profitability information. Improves quality of service and ensures consistency of business decisions concerning targeted banking clients. No one is allowed to comment or spin profitability without referring to this utility.
