17 Risk Management Requested Assistance A critical component to the success of the Risk Initiative is the efficient acquisition / leveraging of school facility drawings. Session Law section 8.39, requires each LEAs to provide local law enforcement a schematic diagram of each school in its district. New schools and renovation construction drawings are provided to the LEA by architects in a AutoCAD DWG format. NCEM requests that County EM Directors coordinate / collaborate with local law enforcement to contact LEAs and request / acquire the digital schematic diagrams of each of their school buildings in their district. An will go out from NCEM (John Dorman) on what information is needed (digital schematic diagram); how to efficiently transfer it; and, a point of contact for questions.
