6 IMDS for the Automotive Industry Material data collection within the automotive supply chain with focus on ELV and partly REACh. Automotive OEMs provide the IMDS service, that has to be used as is by automotive suppliers. IMDS is an industry specific reporting scheme, that does not support import / export of other reporting formats. Development of IMDS is governed and ordered by the IMDS Steering Group of Automotive OEMs. CDX for All Manufacturing Industries Material data collection and data assessment for many material and substance compliance legislations worldwide, and Conflict Minerals Reporting. CDX is open for further requirements. Each company with a license to receive material data sheets from its direct supplies, participates in its industry s advisory group CDX is an open system with IEC 62474, IPC1752A/C, and CMRT Export/Import Capability IMDS is an industry independent solution, managed by DXC, consulted by advisory groups and customer needs. 6
