INTRODUCTION This classification report defines the classification assigned to a non-loadbearing partition consisting of insulated aluminium frame of type CS 77-FP(EI30) glazed with butt jointed Contraflam Structure 30 glass panes in accordance with procedures given in: - EN :2007+A1:2009: Fire classification of construction products and building elements Part 2: Classification using data from fire resistance tests, excluding ventilation services 2. DETAILS OF CLASSIFIED PRODUCT 3.1 GENERAL The investigated construction was a glazed partition consisting of: Insulated aluminium frame type CS 77-FP(EI30) Glass panes type Contraflam Structure 30. The glass panes were connected with butt joints Details of the construction can be found in the technical drawings in chapter TEST FRAME The test frame was composed of steel profiles with a fire resistant concrete inner frame. The test frame had an installation opening of 4.0 x 3.5 m (w x h) and an installation depth of 250 mm. 3.3 SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION On the bottom of the test frame and at both vertical sides a standard supporting construction of aerated concrete was built with a thickness of 150 mm (density 650 kg/m 3 ). The left side and the bottom of the glazed partition were mounted to the aerated supporting construction. The top of the glazed partition was directly connected to the test frame. The right side was left unrestrained since this was the free edge. The dimension of the aperture for the glazed partition was 3126 x 3156 mm (w x h). 8 REFERENCE OF This classification has been carried out in accordance with: - clause 7 of EN : A1: A non-loadbearing glazed partition, consisting of insulated aluminium profiles from Reynaers Aluminium NV type CS 77-FP(EI30), and glazing from, type Contraflam Structure 30 is classified according to the following combinations of performance parameters and classes as appropriate. No other classifications are permitted based on the test evidence mentioned in clause 5.1. Fire resistance classification: EI FIELD OF DIRECT APPLICATION 7.1 GENERAL The results of the fire test are directly applicable to similar constructions where one or more of the changes listed below are made and the construction continues to comply with the appropriate design code for its stiffness and stability. Other changes are not permitted. Decrease in the linear dimensions of panes; Change in the aspect ratio of the panes, provided that the largest dimension of the pane and its area are not increased; Decrease in the distance between mullions and/or transoms; Decrease in distance between fixing centres; Increase in the dimensions of framing members; Screwed-on glazing beads since clip-on glazing beads were incorporated in the test; Allowances for expansion if none were incorporated in the test specimen; Change in the angle of installation of up to 10 from the vertical. 7.2 EXTENSION OF HEIGHT The increase of the element height is not allowed. 7.3 EXTENSION OF WIDTH The width of an identical construction may be increased since the specimen was tested at a minimum of 3 m wide with one vertical edge without restraint. 7.4 STANDARD SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTIONS Since the single window partition was tested in an aerated concrete standard supporting This report consists of sixteen pages and may only be used in its entirety. 9 construction, given in EN , the results of the fire test are applicable to any other supporting construction within the same type (low density rigid supporting construction) that has a greater fire resistance. 8.
