The company employs over 1300 staff across 8 factories in Europe, each taking great care in the manufacture of their timber products. Scandinavian design second to none NorDan designs, develops and manufactures timber windows, aluminium clad timber windows, glazed doors and front entrance doors which are made from composite materials. They can be bought in a wide range of finishes paint colours. An ongoing investment by the company in research and development ensures you get the very best products on the market today. We invest in testing the opening and closing of doors and windows and in their weather tightness how they will cope if blasted with wind and rain in stormy conditions. Continuous development Glazing options are continually being developed putting Argon gas in between the glazed panels increases the performance of windows and doors, and you can specify windows which will maximise solar gain, and in certain positions protect you from too much sun. 5 NorDan NTech Doorsets 5 NTech Security Entrance Door NorDan has designed a new front entrance doorset for the UK market, following consultation with local authorities, housing associations and Police initiatives. Our new door has all the attributes of NorDan s well established composite entrance doorset - the strength to resist forced entry, the robustness to cope with everything bad weather throws at it driving rain and storm force winds. The NTech Security Doorset combines our 90 years manufacturing experience, with Norwegian integrity and NorDan s fine reputation for innovation. All our products are designed and produced with our key commitments - to customer satisfaction, elimination of defects, environmental awareness, Genuine certification, user friendliness and great technical support

6 NorDan NTech Doorsets 6 Aluminium stability and vapour sheet 0.3mm XPS extruded polystyrene foam insulation Double glazed sealed unit with warm edge technology Chen Chen veneer SBD Security handle Weatherproof gasket of silicone in door leaf Traditionally innovative doorset Door Leaf The door is constructed with timber stiles and rails and there is solid beading around the glazing apertures. The double aluminium plates provide security and stability and a moisture barrier in the door leaf. The door is finished with an outer layer of ChenChen veneer. Chenchen is a wood which comes from Africa and it provides a high quality surface for paint adhesion. The door leaf has a silicone seal which contributes to the sound reduction values and the thermal properties in its u-value. Glazed doors have a double glazed sealed unit. This improves the energy savings for the building and contains low emissivity glass, Argon filled cavities and safety glass: 4mm Toughened + 16 mm Argon spacer mm laminated. The glass spacer meets Secured by Design criteria. Warm edge technology is provided in the spacer bar to improve the overall thermal efficiency of the sealed unit. Door Frame The 56 x 105mm deep frame are made from laminated, finger- jointed timber. These are pre drilled to assist site fitting. All solid timber used in the manufacture is double vacuum impregnated to extend its life, and is sourced from fully certified forests. Plastic plugs are supplied, white or transparent depending on the choice of paint colour. U Values Unglazed doorsets have a u value of 1.0 w/m 2 K Doorsets with integral glazing achieve a u value of 1.2 w/m 2 K These values are based on calculation, measurement and continuous monitoring control of production.

7 NorDan NTech Doorsets 7 BALMORAL ALNWICK TRAFALGAR WINDSOR BUCKINGHAM Five styles of NTech Security door NorDan s new NTech Security door comes in five different styles. These present options to be timeless, classic, traditional and by choosing a strong bold colour, contemporary. Balmoral has a certain Scottish style to it, is a modern style, which will soon become a classic. The glazed panel lets in the light to a hallway. Selecting privacy glass keeps things that way. You can select this door option in any of the colours from the NCS or RAL colour charts. Alnwick follows the style of one of our most popular ranges in the UK and in Europe. Its larger expanse of glazing allows more light in to a hallway Trafalgar reminiscent of a traditional timber door with its grooves in the panel finish. This door, as the others, can be supplied with a letter plate. Windsor is a true Classic style. Blending light from the glazed panels with the panel detailing on the rest of the door. Buckingham has a solid finish, with no glazed panel. 13 NorDan NTech Doorsets 13 Glazing options There are various choices of glazing finishes for your new doorsets. Safety glass comes as toughened glass or laminated glass. When toughened glass breaks, the glass particles are small and relatively harmless, but the glass does not stay together, whereas laminated glass can be made from many layers. PEFC NorDan uses timber from internationally recognised PEFC & FSC sources, (the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and has Chain of Custody certification, giving you peace of mind that our raw material is responsibly sourced from managed forests CE Marking NorDan has CE marking declarations for all products exported into EU countries. The marking denotes the fact that NorDan s products meet all the appropriate provisions of the relevant European Directives legislation.
