2 OUR HISTORY PRICEWalgren is deeply rooted in the manufacturing of automated finishing systems PRICE-KOCH Industries Bob Price established Price Industries, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company, in 1983 to provide custom fabricating for construction and excavating companies. Price has several decades of experience providing material handling systems to the aerospace, automotive, industrial, military and agricultural industries. In 2013, George Koch Sons, LLC acquired Price Industries, thus establishing PRICE-KOCH Industries, a division of George Koch Sons. PRICE-KOCH Industries offers turnkey custom systems, provides design, fabrication and installation services for plating, cleaning and coating process systems for industrial facilities around the world. Walgren Company Walgren Company, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based company, was founded in 1955 by Gus Walgren and Arnold Parker, as a provider of chemicals and equipment to the anodizing industry. By 1962, it had developed into a full service company with the engineering, manufacturing, and service capabilities to design and build turnkey finishing lines. In 1963, the first Walgren Company line was sold outside the US. Walgren has more than 60 years of experience providing turnkey anodizing and plating systems to the aerospace, military, industrial and automtive industries around the world. In 2015, George Koch Sons aquired Walgren Company to increase services to customers with the best integrated solutions. 4 GEORGE KOCH SONS, LLC, For more than 140 years, we ve helped our customers meet the needs of their customers GEORGE KOCH SONS HISTORY In 1873, George Koch opened a small tin, copper, and ironwork shop in Evansville, Indiana. As word of his honesty and craftsmanship grew, so did his list of customers. By the early 1930s, his sons and grandsons were working with customers throughout the Midwest and around the country on a wide range of related activities, including high quality, cost-effective paint finishing systems. By the 1970s, their sons and grandsons were working with customers around the world on state-of-theart paint finishing systems, related systems and technologies. ESTABLISHED 1873 GEORGE KOCH SONS TODAY George Koch Sons, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Enterprises, Inc. It is still headquartered in Evansville, but now has more paint finishing systems online than any other company, in nearly 40 countries around the world. 5 KOCH CAPABILITIES, LLC CA- AUTOMATED FINISHING SYSTEMS ENVIRONMENTAL ACOUSTICAL THERMAL ELECTROCOAT SYSTEMS George Koch Sons designed and installed the first industrial electrocoat (e-coat) system in North America, and since e-coat s earliest development, has worked with customers around the world to implement more than 300 high performance systems in a wide range of industries. Our highly experienced team of professionals provide fullservice, turnkey system support with expertise in all process stages from pretreatment through final cure. We have extensive experience in all major e-coating techniques, such as continuous conveyorized systems, indexing systems, and bulk coating systems, where parts can be randomly packed. 6 THE PRICEWALGREN PROCESS Designed specifically for each customer s specific products, facility, working culture & priorities PRICEWalgren has the people, the capacity, and the technical expertise to design, build and commission the finishing line that is best suited for your products, your throughput, and your facility. Our process, from system to concept through on-time commissioning, has evolved over more than a half-century, and has produced world class finishing lines for some of the world s best-known companies. PHASE 1 TIME & RESOURCES The PRICEWalgren Process begins with our investment in time and resources to understand each customer s specific products, facility, working culture, and short- and long-term priorities. We work closely with the customer to outline the applicable process steps, line layout, material handling requirements within the line, sizing, controls, and environmental issues. PHASE 2 EQUIPMENT SELECTION In this step, equipment is selected and sized, and a quotation is produced. Customer comments lead to refinement and clarification of various proposal elements before final approval. Upon project approval, an internal PRICEWalgren project kickoff meeting is scheduled, where timeline requirements and milestones are specified, and assigned to project team members. PHASE 3 ENGINEERING & DESIGN During the engineering phase of the project, engineers and designers collaborate on system design, and specify many components. All drawings are subject to an extensive internal checking process prior to their release to manufacturing to assure ISO and NADCAP compliance. PHASE 4 PRE-PRODUCTION DRAWING PACKAGE We generate a pre-production drawing package, including line layout, elevation view, roof openings, concrete requirements, utility tie points, and PID drawings. The package is provided to the customer for comments and approval. Upon approval, bills of material are released for the purchase of raw materials for manufacturing and for direct-buy items to be shipped directly to the customer site. PHASE 5 INSTALLATION Installation begins after manufactured items are complete and the facility is ready. Depending on the project size, equipment may ship to the job site all at once or in stages to complement the installation sequence. PHASE 6 COMISSIONING, WORKER TRAINING & PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE Our controls engineer and installation manager test every system component and document all pertinent settings. All material handling equipment is cycled and inspected for anomalies. Once the system is commissioned, operators receive both classroom and hands on training. Preventative maintenance contracts are available for shortor long-term. Most customers use PRICEWalgren PM contracts to train maintenance personnel. 5

7 PRODUCTS & SERVICES Hoists, Transfer Shuttles, Drying Systems, Load/Unload Stations & Cleaning Systems HOIST STRUCTURES Typical structures are fabricated using heavy wall steel tubing and I-beams. The selected steel is used primarily for its superior strength in torsion, impact damage resistance, and overall aesthetic value. Whether a rail rider or side arm hoist, we recommend running on top with friction-type polyurethane wheels. The hoist is quiet and gives performance required for high production applications. TRANSFER SHUTTLES The PRICEWalgren shuttle design is similar to the hoist systems, as they are top-running on stand-alone structures. We can use double- or single-wide shuttles, based upon the control system criteria. LOAD & UNLOAD STATIONS We offer an exceptional ergonomic load and unload station system. The stations are activated to raise and lower, are simple and trouble-free, and use multiple stations that access one common power unit to reduce system costs. DRYING SYSTEMS We have developed a drying system through many years of research and development, and currently offer two different methods. One uses multiple air knives in a vertical position, and dependent on the product size, it indexes the knives back and forth across the part. Another newly used method is a dehumidifying system that can be used in both rack and barrel applications. Our team also utilizes traditional gas, electric and steam for forced air dryers. CLEANING SYSTEMS We work with aerospace, automotive, industrial and military facilities worldwide to provide turnkey systems for cleaning, coating and chemical processing. TRAINING PRICEWalgren provides technical training for equipment operators and maintenance personnel, and is provided in our classroom training facility in Caledonia, MI or at the customer s location. INSTALLATION SERVICES We provide installation services worldwide. Installation is done by established, professional crews who are experienced with our equipment and controls, and who adhere to strict quality and procedural quidelines.
