10 SHOWER Information Since 1982 Athena has been creating showers for New Zealand homes. We design and develop products specifically for New Zealand homes using the knowledge and experience of our NZ based product development team. The aim is to evolve with ever changing design trends, while ensuring that functional features and the use of quality raw materials remain a key focus. Athena showers are manufactured in New Zealand and carry a 5 year manufacturer s warranty. DOOR SET Shower door and returns use toughened safety glass which is manufactured to NZS4223 Part 3: 2016, AS/NZS 2208 Athena showers have been designed to feature minimal joinery on the doors and returns. Frameless and semi frameless glass does not close in the shower, in fact it gives a greater perception of size, space and depth in the bathroom. It is also more difficult for mould and grime to build up on, and is therefore easier to keep clean. > Installation tolerances are built into the door and return systems to compensate for out-of plumb walls. ACRYLIC WALL > Wall linings are made using premium quality Senosan Anti Bac acrylic capped ABS which provides an easy to clean, antibacterial gloss surface. > Moulded walls are a convenient way to incorporate storage into your shower. The moulding is seamlessly integrated with no joins making cleaning easy and minimising mould or mildew build up. > Allora, Lifestyle and Soul showers feature a finishing profile to cover the edge of the acrylic wall. Easy clean waste SHOWER TRAY > Shower trays are made using fibreglass reinforced construction for superior strength and come complete with a chrome Easy Clean waste > Allora and Soul shower trays use Senosan Anti Bac acrylic capped ABS. The waste is positioned in the back corner to enable comfortable showering without standing on or around a traditional waste. Wall studs do not need to be checked out with our trays. The tray upstand height means no silicone is seen inside the shower. > Lifestyle and Motio shower trays are made using Lucite sanitary grade acrylic with an aluminium upstand profile bonded and fastened to the sides of the tray. This profile allows the tray to be placed directly against the studs without the need for any check in, meaning standard thickness Aqualine Gib board or 9mm Villa board can be used to line the walls. The upstand creates a 40mm vertical surface to bond any water proofing membranes, ensuring a leak proof wall to tray junction. Upstand of Lifestyle shower tray SHOWER INSTALLATION Installation expertise is key to gaining the best from our products. We recommend that an Athena trained installer is used for installation of our showers. If installations are not completed as specified in our instructions the manufacturers warranty is void. A full list of installers is available on our website athena.co.nz CLEANING & MAINTENANCE > Wipe down the shower or use a squeegee to remove excess water from the glass after use. If choosing Diamond Fusion option - follow their instructions for cleaning the glass. > Use a trusted glass cleaner on shower glass > Use Vibrance Acrylic surface cleaner to clean the tray and wall - see page 63 > Waste lid and cup should be removed and cleaned regularly > Remove and clean drip seals on a regular basis, these can simply be replaced when they no longer look their best 10

11 DIAMOND FUSION Put simply, Diamond Fusion is a permanent treatment designed to seal and protect glass. Treated surfaces become water repellent as well as scratch, stain and impact resistant. Diamond Fusion easyclean uses the world s leading Nano Technology products from Diamon-Fusion International. Nanoscale technologies are the development and use of devices that have a size of only a few nanometres. HOW DOES IT WORK? Glass is not as smooth as you might think it is actually quite a porous surface which makes an ideal setting for soap residue, dirt and mineral build ups to reside which, over time can result in a cloudy or noticeably dull appearance. Diamond Fusion Easy Clean works in two stages to protect your glass from these impurities. The first stage Fills in the rough, porous surface of the glass and the second stage Caps the previous layer with an optically clear material which makes the surface significantly easier to clean and resistant to weathering. SAVE TIME NOW AND LATER NOW - By opting for this optional treatment to be applied to your shower glass before it leaves the factory*, there s no need to worry about arranging the application once your shower has been installed. LATER - While you still need to maintain your glass, Diamond Fusion easyclean takes the difficulty out of it. Your Saturday mornings will no longer be spent scrubbing your shower glass for hours. *Factory applied treatment is available for all showers except Motio. If you would like your Motio treated please contact Diamond Fusion. LIFETIME WARRANTY Diamond Fusion easyclean offers an instant 1 year warranty. By a simple on-line registration customers can extend this to a LIFETIME WARRANTY, which is backed by a NZ wide agent network. The sticker placed on the glass door of your shower is there as a reminder and must only be removed once the registration has been completed. Go to on the top navigation bar click on register, choose your shower brand and complete the form. The Diamond Fusion easyclean treatment is avaialble on Lifestyle-Allora and Soul as well as bath swing panels. Motio Showers cannot be factory treated.
