The following additions, deletions, modifications, or clarifications shall be made to the appropriate sections of the referenced document and shall become part of the Contract Documents. 3 The following are the responses to the questions received, which we have answered in red. Shady Shores Dalton Drive 1. The two (2) metal culverts are Design 6 Arch Pipe, which is comparable to a 42 round pipe. The description says to replace with 36 RCP, but also says to replace with same size. What size RCP needs to be installed? The top of a 42 RCP will probably be in the pavement subgrade. Replace with three 36 culverts. 2. How much of the concrete street pavement needs to be removed and replaced, from radius return to the edge of Shady Shores including the area of radii? 33 from edge of Shady Shores Rd to first saw joint. Full curb on both sides of the road to follow radius. 3. Item 3 in the Bid Proposal says Subgrade Backfill and Compaction. The Description on Page 2 of 32 mentions a 6 thickness of lime stabilized subgrade. What is needed? Stabilization of the sub-base with a six inch (6") thickness of six percent (6%) hydrated lime by weight or cement (if geo-tech study is provided showing recommended stabilization) will be required. Compaction of the lime stabilized subgrade shall be to 95% standard proctor density. 4. What are the embedment specs for the pipe backfill? Manufacturers spec on pipe backfill 5. Is flowable fill required between the pipe barrels? Manufactures spec/recommendation 6. What are the LF dimensions of the two culverts? 36 Linear feet 7. The existing headwalls seem to be more of sloped rip rap around the pipes. What type of headwall are you requiring, PW, FW or SET? If SET, what slope is required, 3:1, 4:1 or 6:1? Precast or Pour in Place. Either at 3:1 slope. 8. Will the headwalls require Safety Pipe Rails? No. 9. How is Rip Rap to be paid? Thickness? Quantity? No Rip Rap is required. Page 3 of 5

There other features at this location that will require removal, ie: Brick Columns, Brick Columns with horizontal Wood Pickets, Concrete Rip Rap, Railroad Retaining Wall, Will they have to be replaced? Rail Road retaining wall to be left in place, other items need not be replaced. 11. Can this road along with Meadows be closed at the same time. If not, the concrete pavement will need to be HES, High Early Strength. 12. If both roads are closed at the same time, what will be the detour routes? Shady Shores Meadows 1.
