BRED HEIFERS/PAIRS Whitley Farms 70- Bred Heifers (9-1000#) BD- March-April 2016 Description- ¾ Red Angus, ¼ Simmental Comments-Bred to Pelton 100% Red Angus heifer bulls, Bull in on May 20th Vaccinations- OCV d, pelvic scored, tracts checked, Bovi Shield, Preg Guard, Vision 7 20/20 Duane Moeder 25-Bred Heifers (1250#) 6- Heifer Pairs Description-Red Angus Cross Comments-Bred to Janssen heifer bull, start calving January 5 RDS Farms 40- Bred Heifers ( #) Description- Red Angus Comments- 20 head came from Darwin Whipple and 20 head came from Troy Kuppetz. They are bred to Janssen Red Angus low birth weight bulls. Bulls have been used on heifers before. Birth weights on the three bulls are as follows: 55 lbs, 68 lbs, and 72 lbs. The bulls were put in on May 2 nd and were pulled July 1 st. Heifers should start calving ~February 10 and finish ~April 15. Vaccinations- Sept 20- Dr. Steven Russell gave them a lepto shot and Dectomax injectable. Ration- Heifers are running on grass and have access to salt and mineral.

We ve had minimal health problems with these thrifty calves.
