As always, your questions may be ed to us at registrar@asfp.ca or you may leave a message on our answering machine at CIF-IFC NOW ACCEPTING 2018 PRINCE OF WALES FOREST LEADERSHIP AWARD APPLICATIONS The Canadian Institute of Forestry / Institut forestier du Canada is now accepting applications for the 2018 Prince of Wales Forest Leadership Award! This prestigious Award recognizes students and recent graduates who are actively engaged in forestry or natural resources management, and who have a passion for the environment. Two Canadian Award winners will participate in an International Forestry Work Exchange Program to the United Kingdom in the summer of 2018 and gain valuable professional experience in policy, planning and/or field work. Award winners will receive a bursary of 7,500 GBP (approximately C$12,000 bursary total subject to change based on currency conversion rates). Please find attached the 2018 Canadian student application form and promotional poster that contains Award qualification criteria and application submission details. Late submissions are subject to late fees. Remember, even if a membership is being paid by the employer, it is still the member s duty to submit their form to report back his or her continuing competency hours for the year and to sign their commitment to the Code of Ethics.

4 CONTINUING EDUCATION, WORKSHOPS, PRESENTATIONS, EVENTS CIF E-Lectures The Canadian Forest Service (CFS) and the Canadian Institute of Forestry (CIF) have partnered to bring you the second part of the e-lecture Series: Innovative Solutions to Respond to the Challenges of a Changing Climate. This Winter 2018 e-lecture Series features eight (8) presentations by nine (9) CFS researchers from across Canada. The e-lectures will run every Wednesday starting January 10 to February 28, 2018
