1 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FROM POWER GENERATION COMPANIES /INDEPENDENT POWER PRODUCERS (IPPS) /POWER PLANT DEVELOPERS/CAPTIVE POWER PRODUCERS (CPP s)/ VARIOUS TRADING LICENSEES FOR OFFERING TO SUPPLY POWER TO TSDISCOMS FROM THEIR THERMAL POWER PROJECTS LOCATED IN SOUTHERN REGION UNDER MEDIUM TERMBASIS EOI No.: TSSPDCL/IPC/01/MT/2014 Dated: Introduction: TSDISCOMs intend to purchase 2000 MW Round the Clock (RTC) power on a firm basis for the period from to from power generation companies /Independent Power Producers (IPPs)/power plant developers/captive Power Producers(CPP s)/ various trading licensees under medium term basis. Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSSPDCL, a Government of Telangana Undertaking), on behalf of the Distribution Companies of Telangana has initiated for procurement of power from the thermal plants located in Southern region for a period of 5 years under Case -1 bid route/dbfoo basis. 2.0 Expression of Interest: Expression of Interest is invited from power generation companies / Independent Power Producers (IPPs)/power plant developers/captive Power Producers (CPP s)/ various trading licensees for offering power from their Thermal Power Projects (based on domestic i.e. either fuel linkage or captive block, imported as well as mix of domestic and imported ) located in Southern region. In this connection, an advertisement was published in the leading newspapers on Purpose of Inviting EOI: Through this EOI, TSSPDCL intends to identify the suitable Power Projects willing to supply power on medium term, as specified in Clause 2.0 above. 4.0 Eligibility: Any power generating companies /Independent Power Producers (IPPs)/power plant developers/captive Power Producers (CPP s)/ various trading licensees or their authorized representatives are eligible for offering power from their Operational/Commissioned/Synchronized/Under Construction (expected to commission and commence supplies by ) Coal Based Thermal Power Projects located in Southern region. 5.0 Required Information Interested parties are required to submit the information complete in all respects for attributes specified in the enclosed format (Refer Annexure-A). 6.0 Each page of the documents submitted shall be duly authenticated by the applicant. 7.0 The language of submission of applications shall be in English. 8.0 Prospective parties may submit their Expression of Interest along with relevant details as sought in the data sheets in soft form through latest by 27 th September 2014 followed by three (3) hard copies (1 Original + 2 Photocopies) in a sealed cover super scribing Expression of Interest (EOI) for " OFFERING POWER TO TSDISCOMS FROM THERMAL POWER PROJECTS LOCATED IN

The EOI Request is not the subject of any process contract or any contractual obligations between TSSPDCL and the applicants to the EOI. Further, TSSPDCL may, at its absolute discretion either modify or abandon any part or whole of the document and / or process, without giving prior notice to any or all the applicant. All Expression of Interest documents, upon submission by any applicant to this EoI shall become the property of TSSPDCL. TSSPDCL is not liable for any costs or compensation in relation to the consideration of this EoI.
