9 Hydrogen for chemical industry Green hydrogen can replace fossil hydrogen from (fossil) natural gas as a feedstock in the chemical industry: - in chemical industry in Eemshaven (Chemport), - transformed natural gas pipelines from Groningen to Rotterdam & Ruhr area. 14 Highlights roadmap MW electrolysers in Veendam (Energystock) and the Eemshaven Infrastructure: - hydrogen pipelines to connect hydrogen production and demand, - investigation of opportunities for storage in caverns Mobility: fueling stations, busses, municipal service vehicles, etc. Electricity balancing: pilot and demo projects Regulation: facilitate introduction of green hydrogen as much as possible and lobby at national and EU level Human capital: develop technical knowledge, capacity building and education
