It is our aim to attract National and International Climate Finance to achieve this objective. To support blue-green economy initiatives. To build partnerships with market players and leveraging respective strengths and skills to develop working solutions. To catalyze private investment for mitigation and adaption to climate change in Sri Lanka. To demonstrate commercially viable, publicprivate business models for addressing climate change and environmental problems. To be a conduit and point of contact of receiving and utilizing international climate finance, including those of Green Climate Fund, Adaptation Fund, and private investment for the development of environmental and clean energy solutions for Sri Lanka Dr. B.M.S Batagoda Managing Director (SLCF) Secretary (Ministry of Power & Renewable Energy) We aim to develop national strategies to attract climate finance to Sri Lanka Mr. H.M. 3 SLCF Role Climate finance and Fund Accreditation & Certification Policy Analysis Market Instruments Climate Finance and Fund SLCF helps enhancing the access to climate finance by providing fundraising services to firm working on climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. SLCF develops proposals and manages climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. Accreditation & Certification SLCF is the first ISO accredited Organization in South Asia. SLCF Verifies, Organization Carbon Footprint (ISO ) Product Carbon Footprint/Life Cycle Analysis (ISO 14067,PAS 2050) Market Instrument SLCF develops and adapts market based instruments to mitigate climate change to achieve nationally determined contributions agreed by Sri Lanka. Policy Analysis SLCF works with domestic policy makers to advocate RE/EE policies, where needed, to incentivize clean energy generation or clean technology penetration SLCF provides advisory to the Government of Sri Lanka, the UN or other international agencies to undertake research studies and analyses provide guidance and leadership to steer decisions towards building a low carbon blue-green economy.
