13 Low Carbon Fuels Project Preparations at Transfer Station Highlights First approved project for Ontario, for full time use of Low Carbon Fuels (LCF) granted by MOE. Showcase project for industry, in general, The LCF fuels are classified as GHG neutral. Initial Supply of up to 100 t/d of Construction and Demolition wood waste currently sent to landfill. GTA has many other high energy sources of non recyclable streams currently destined to landfill LCF 45% equivalent to Coal

14 Low Carbon Fuels Project Expected Results Bowmanville Direct substitution of for fossil fuels is expected to yield 27,000 tonnes GHG reduction/annum 86,000 tonnes/annum of indirect GHG reductions through avoided landfill and transportation emissions Future approvals to move forward from 4% to >10% thermal substitution Future approvals to use broader range of materials Future approvals at second facility to start program at that location Process data and engineering to assess the process and equipment for changes/upgrades/improvements.
