The site has minimal temporary store rooms for the storage of construction materials, which will be later demolished. During the operational phase, there will be well designated confined storage areas within the building, which will not have impact on the physical environment. Quantity of Solid Wastes: Total Solid waste 72 Kg/day STP Sludge 6 Kg/day Solid wastes likely to be generated in project are of domestic nature. They will be collected from door to door and segregated into inorganic and organic wastes. For handling solid waste generated by the housing and other areas, different colour coded bins will be provided. Green bins will be provided for organic waste and blue bins will be provided for inorganic waste. The organic waste will be converted into manure by vermin-composting unit. The manure produced will be used for green belt. The inorganic waste generated will be segregated and will be sold to authorized recycler. The inert waste will be transported to the waste disposal site. Solid waste management as per MSW (Management & Handling) Rules, Liquid Effluent: During construction, the amount of sewage will be generated which shall be treated into mobile STP/septic tank and soak pits. Waste water generated is 60 KLD, which will be treated into STP (100 KLD) at site and recycled within campus for flushing, horticulture, cooling towers and Diesel generator cooling. The surplus quantity will be utilized for irrigation by the nearby agricultural fields. Apart from residents, there will be maintenance team along FORM - 1 Page 5

During construction phase, traffic will be increased due to inward and outward movement of vehicles carrying construction material. In the post construction phase, there will be increase in the traffic levels due to proposed project. Well lit wide metalled roads ranging from 9 to 12 meters width will be built along with improved microclimate brought about by plantation of large canopy trees along roads and footpaths. There will be no diversion of transmission and pipelines, though the project involves construction of new internal pipelines for fresh water, recycled water, rain water harvesting, sewer lines and internal power distribution lines. The project includes the construction of (A+B+C) Group Housing Blocks, Machine & Generator Room (n FAR), so no adverse impact has been anticipated by this project. 4. Biodegradable segregated waste (organic waste such as waste vegetables, foods etc) and garden litter will be transported to the compost site for biocomposting. Recyclable wastes will be sold to authorized recyclers/kabariwala and inert waste will be used for construction of road & pavement and other uses on site. The hazardous wastes in the project will be filter from standby Diesel Generator sets, which is classified as hazardous waste category 5.1 as per Hazardous Wastes (Management & Handling) Amendments Rules, They will be carefully stored in under isolated storages, and periodically sold to authorized recyclers. The construction waste consists of construction debris along with cement bags, steel in bits and pieces, insulating and packaging materials etc. Cement bags, waste paper and cardboard packing material would be sold off to recyclers. Construction Phase: Dust will be generated during construction activity. Water sprinkling will be carried out to minimize dust suppression. Hence, chances of explosions, spillages, fires are minimal. All construction workers will be provided with suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) as per the health & safety norms. Training and awareness about the safety norms will be provided to all supervisors and workers involved in construction activities. All correspondence with the Ministry of Environment & Forests including submission of application for TOR/ Environmental Clearance, subsequent clarifications, as may be required from time to time, participation in the EAC Meeting on behalf of the project proponent shall be made by the authorized signatory only.
