3 What Is it? Considering a career in auditing? Already auditing and want to understand your professional strengths and weaknesses? Exemplar Global s Work Style Assessment can help you determine if you have the required personal attributes of an efficient auditor. Exclusive to Exemplar Global, the Work Style Assessment looks at your ability to demonstrate the personal attributes or behaviours expected of auditors giving you an accurate depiction of your strengths and weaknesses. The assessment has been built by job experts and professionals in the auditing profession to determine what, in terms of personal attributes, separates the more effective and efficient auditors. Highlights of the Work Style Assessment include: An accurate depiction of your strengths and weaknesses. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers. It s all about understanding yourself better. A PDF report is generated and ed to you within one hour of completion. The Work Style Assessment is not your average personal attributes assessment and has been built by job experts and auditing professionals.
4 How It Was Developed Exemplar Global partnered with personality test experts Talent Click to build the Work Style Assessment for Auditors. We began by creating a job analysis for each auditor role. This allowed us to create a job profile for auditors and lead auditors. Job profiling enables employers to develop a profile and description of the ideal candidate s characteristics and work style for a specific position. To develop this unique profile, we collected data from industry experts in an online questionnaire. The unique perspective and expert knowledge of each industry expert was incorporated into the profile. The result of this process is a clear description of the traits and work style that will make a difference on the job and a set criteria for assessing candidates for fit.
5 How it Works Although one assessment was created, two reports can be received. This is because all auditor grades (except lead auditor) receive one report, while lead auditors receive another. The assessment for auditors (except lead auditor) is based on the following attributes: Integrity Responsibility Coachability Positive attitude Aggression control Open communication The assessment for lead auditors is based on the above attributes, in addition to: Dominant vs dominant Contented vs achievement focused Reactive vs calm Reserved vs outgoing Direct vs empathetic Spontaneous vs regimented Conventional vs open minded

10 How Do I Interpret the Results? Your results for each attribute will be displayed on a scale. All results displayed inside the scale represent an acceptable benchmark. If you receive a result outside of the set benchmarks, you will receive a letter that suggests personal development training in certain areas. Here is an excerpt example from the letter: Your Work Style Assessment results for Exemplar Global certification/recertification have been evaluated. Overall, the results demonstrate that you have the personal attributes necessary of an effective auditor; however, the results have indicated that additional professional development training is needed in the area/s of Below is information for you to consider: We strongly encourage you to complete training or other types of professional development related to this attribute, but it is not mandatory. At recertification, you will be required to complete the Work Style Assessment again.
