1 CONTINUE TO DEVELOP SKILLS FOR EMPLOYEES, FREST GRADUATES AND UNEMPLOYED Our Commitment to UN Global Compact SnT Global Sdn. Bhd. signed up as a member of United Nations Global Compact in As a responsible organization, SnT are committed to the policies of the Ten Principles highlight issues of human rights, the labor market, environmental protection, and the anti-corruption. SnT stands by these principles and actively implements them within the scope of its commercial activities. SnT has set up a knowledge-based organization to develop skills for employees, fresh graduate students, knowledge workers and unemployed. We believe that Human Resource and Development training is the basis for engaging successful sustainability management. Employees Development SnT had contributed in the Human Resource Development Fund for employees improvement in organizational skills, knowledge and capabilities in their respective roles of the work place. We consider it our responsibility to provide training and development for employees grow and career enhancing skills. To develop a meaningful training development plan, it is important to understand what is behind that plan and the purpose of the training. We conducted a training need analysis to identify the training needs of the employees. The focus of all aspects of Human Resource Development is on developing the best employees for a high performance workforce in order to accomplish their work goals in service to customers. By learning, these employees will know how to manage their sub-ordinates and implement an effective productivity operations and business plans. In addition to the training needs analysis, SnT also takes the following steps to maximize employees needs in training and development in order to improve individual s performance. Target Performance Management - Setting Targets for measures used in Performance Management Systems by using an appropriate performance management frameworks. It allowed the organization to focus on their greatest needs in acquiring knowledge and skills in their workforce. Employee Opinion surveys (EOS) used to solicit employee opinions on a variety of issue such as quality of the working environment, training and development and understanding how the employee perceive the organization along different dimensions. Employee welfare includes various facilities, services and amenities provided to employees for improving their health, work efficiency, economic betterment and social status. These will include organizing Sports Recreation Club and Share and Care for the employees as Page 1

2 monthly activities for employees take active interest in their jobs and work with a feeling of involvement and participation. In 2010, SnT has organized 14 courses with total participants of 37 employees who attended by various departments epartments at different level and post of the organization. (Please refer to Appendix A I.) These include soft skills and high skills at the public courses. Among the participants of the various trainings, there is varying motivation and commitment towards works. After the course, course the evaluation process will carry rry out to measure in all aspect of the training conducted. conducted Increasingly, employees in the SnT T are realizing that there is more to learn in their core values of their businesses. The s seek to achieve business objective by aligning the skilled and qualified employee and the capabilities ities of the current workforce to maximize return on investment and secure future survival and success. The Inventory and Store Management held on 10 May 2011 aimed to improve both employees knowledge and skills on workplace. They are total of 12 participants joined in this programme. Collaboration with Multimedia Super Corridor ( (MSC) Malaysia SnT collaborates very closely with MSC Malaysia Knowledge Development Institute (KDI) ( a government agency that aim to facilitate the current and future demands of industry-relevant industry talent by the local ICT industry. Towards this en end, KDI offers various program encompassing career awareness, skills training, industrial attachments, curriculum alignment at Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs), as well as demand demand-supply projection. In executing its program,, KDI works closely with relevant ministries and agencies especially the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Human Resources to ensure sustainable, effective and successful implementation. Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Program In collaboration with MSC and International Association of Outsourcin Outsourcing g Professional (IAOP), (IAOP SnT is providing Business ss Process Outsourcing Program (BPO) (BPO):: Certified Outsourcing Specialist (COS), Specialization in Human Resources or Finance & Accounting and Contact Center BPO for the unemployed graduates. 3 The International Association of Outsourcing Professional (IAOP) brings together the world s leading outsourcing customers, providers, advisors, academic institution, related associations and government agencies into a powerful, active and growing global community to exchange thought leadership, share best practices, develop industry skills and network to maximize their effectiveness using outsourcing as a management tool. SnT T had strategic alliance with Global Talent Track Pvt. Ltd. Pune, India (GTT), leading training operations from India to deliver BPO program. In 2009 to 2010, SnT Sn has provides training program for more than n 500 unemployed graduates and we have achieved achieve an employment rate of more than 85%.
