3 About our Firm We are a black owned and black managed professional consulting and auditing firm. We are specialists in public sector accounting and internal auditing with vast experience in local government finance, public entities and provincial departments. We have a team of highly motivated professionals who are registered accountants, registered auditors, tax practitioners, registered internal auditors, professional accountants and BEE approved auditors. Our senior management are accredited by CIGFARO and National Treasury as MSCOA Trainers. Our staff are affiliated with professional bodies such as: South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors (IRBA) Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) Chartered Institute of Government Finance, Audit & Risk Officers(CIGFARO) South African Institute of Government Auditors (SAIGA) A number of our staff, including the Chief Executive Officer, are products of the Auditor-General South Africa (AGSA) trainee programme.

6 Directors VELA L MTSHALI Chief Executive Officer B. Tech CMA, B. Comm. Hons. Acc., CA (SA), Registered Auditor (RA), FIMFO, GEDP(GIBS) Vela, a qualified Chartered Accountant and registered auditor, has more than 16 years auditing and accounting experience in the public sector, mainly gained through the office of the Auditor General. He is a specialist in this field - his auditing experience includes internal and external auditing of provincial departments, municipalities and public entities. He has been employed in the public service as Corporate Executive Finance and CFO for various organisations. Since founding Bonakude Consulting in 2010, Vela has consulted in various municipalities, Provincial Departments and Public entities. He has been seconded as CFO of various municipalities by the KZN Provincial Government and also serves as Board member and Audit committee member of Dube Tradeport, as well as audit committee chair and member of various audit committees. He is an Approved MSCOA Trainer by CIGFARO & National Treasury. ZENZO S MASUKU Executive: Operations B Comm. Acc., AIMFO Zenzo has more than 15 years local government experience having spent the first five years at middle and senior management level in different municipalities. After leaving municipal employ Mr Masuku started a small consulting firm, Izazi Professional Services. From then on he joined Bonakude Consulting and currently heads the Consulting business unit. He has extensive experience consulting within the local government environment mainly in compilation of Fixed Assets Registers and Annual Financial Statements and has been instrumental in growing the firm s consulting business unit. He is an Approved MSCOA Trainer by CIGFARO & National Treasury. NOMALUNGELO XABA Executive: Business Development B. Comm. Acc., B. Comm. Hons. Acc., CA (SA) Nomalungelo qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006, having completed her training with Deloitte in Durban. She has more than 6 years experience in external audit, and just over 5 years experience in financial management, most of which was gained in the private sector. Nomalungelo joined Bonakude Consulting as a Manager in the Consulting business unit in June She now heads Internal Audit and Quality Control in the firm. Nomalungelo has served on the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee of the Durban Chamber of Commerce.
