2 Company Profile 1. B.G.H. is a company whose aim is to offer impartial information, advice and guidance on the delivery of high quality training programmes to the glazing and construction industry in the U.K and the Isle of Man. 2. With a glass and construction industry backgrounds, the BGH staff have many years training experience and are highly qualified, all NVQ qualifications being externally verified by the Construction Skills (CAA) and the Glass Qualifications Authority (G.Q.A.). They have proven records of delivering training programmes second to none that guarantee training to high standards with resultant skills being nationally recognized with N.V.Q, City & Guilds and key skills qualifications. 3. This has already resulted in firm support for them personally, as favoured supplier for future contracts. This results partly from good working relationships with key personnel within the target companies and has resulted in BGH Training being the preferred training provider for numerous companies within the glass and construction industries. BGH is also involved in the delivery of the on-site assessment and training provision (OSAT) for the Construction Skills Consortium delivering NVQs qualifications across the UK, and in colleges such as the Isle of Man College, Gloucester College, Weston Super Mare College and City of Bristol College - references on request. 4. B.G.H Training specializes in the delivery of a fast-track system that can vastly reduce the timescale of the NVQ that is aimed at the experienced worker. 5. We have different levels of programmes to suit such as an experienced worker programme which is offered to workers who have been in the industry for many years and through no fault of their own have not got any qualifications (OSAT) There is the apprenticeship programmes where the learner must be employed. Also there is a programme which is the same criteria as the

3 If it deemed that none of the programmes we offer are not suitable for you we are in partnership with Cornerstones, which offer an E2E programme where the learner will get the support required to return to BGH in the near future. Cornerstones is on the same industrial estate as BGH (50 Meters away) BGH constantly offer advice and guidance in seeking employment or placement, such as CV and interview training.

4 PRODUCTS & SERVICES. B.G.H. is a company whose assessors and internal verifiers have trade backgrounds and are highly qualified within the training industry. These same assessors and internal verifiers are delivering vocational qualifications to the Isle of Man and the mainland U.K workforce. The aim of the company is to deliver quality training programmes to equip workers with the qualifications they require. GLAZING. The qualifications we will deliver are N.V.Q level two and three in the fabrication of glass supporting frames, glass processing and also the installation of the frames. CONSTRUCTION. We can deliver various construction trades such as Bricklaying, Painting & Decorating, Wall & Floor Tiling, Joinery, Plastering, Roofing, Construction Site Supervision, Occupational Works Supervision and Dry Lining through on site assessments. FAST TRACK. (OSAT) Both Glazing and Construction qualifications can be delivered by means of a fast track system where a qualification can be achieved in 3-6 months, on completion of a skillmatch profile to determine the experience of the person. CONSULTANCY. BGH can advise your company on its training needs so as to keep your company on par with your competitors with the qualifications that your staff requires. HEALTH & SAFETY / EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES. A vast range of qualifications can be delivered to your employees in the workplace on request. All the above will be externally verified by the Glass Qualifications Authority (G.Q.A.) and the Construction Awards Alliance (CAA).

5 Diploma/NVQ Process. 1. Sign up/initial assessment The candidate is interviewed by a BGH Training advisor where the candidate is given impartial information, guidance and guidance on what Diploma/NVQ is suitable for their needs and signed up. If an apprenticeship initial assessment is required. 2. Skillscan profile This is where an advisor will carry out a Skillscan Profile, which will determine the level of support the candidate will require to achieve the qualification. In-House training The candidate is given training in their chosen trade at our academy over the required guided learning hours specified by the awarding body 3. On site assessments. This is where an assessor after making prior arrangements will call to the factory or to the site and will carry out what is called an observation, this is when the assessor will observe the candidate and whilst asking some under pinning knowledge questions compare the standard of work against the national standards, that he would obtain from the awarding body GQA or CAA. The assessor would then if possible make an assessment to say that the candidate is competent at the task he had been observed at, or he would ask to observe the candidate on another occasion. 4. Portfolio building The candidate with the help of the assessor would build a portfolio of evidence to prove that he/she is competent at the trade that they have chosen, and the awarding body would then externally verify this. 5. Health and Safety Touch Screen Test. Health and Safety training and support is given throughout the programme leading up to the test. The booklet is supplied free of charge and we also book the test. We also offer support in filling-in and applying for the CSCS card. 6. Certification. Candidate is presented with their certificates.
