SPECIALISATION IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND ORGANISATIONS The Business Management and Organisation specialisation draws upon contemporary research to teach industry relevant business management and organisational practices. 5 SPECIALISATION IN FINANCE The Finance specialisation is for those who want to focus on areas such as funds management, risk management, corporate finance and financial instruments and valuation You will learn about both the theoretical concepts and practical applications of modern finance, and can choose from a range of subjects such as business and corporation law, monetary policy, investment management, international finance and Islamic finance Students will have access to the cutting-edge research being conducted by our Centre for Financial Risk. SPECIALISATION IN FINANCIAL CRIME AND GOVERNANCE The Financial Crime and Governance specialisation will teach you how to identify and assess financial crime risks and manage investigative processes. You will learn skills such as collecting and evaluating evidence, writing legal reports, interviewing witnesses and perpetrators, and developing audit procedures. Provides an appreciation of the political, economic, environmental, cultural and social repercussions of financial crime on business and the community. Develops the knowledge and skills to manage corporate compliance and action programs with legislative requirements. Learn how to make fraud and corruption risk assessments that assist discovery, identification and reporting of corporate wrongdoing. Graduates will know how to retrieve and secure documentary or other evidence to support fraud investigations. SPECIALISATION IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Human Resource Management is a critical function in any organisation with HR managers playing a strategic role in the success of an organisation and its people. HRM involves a wide range of activities associated with the management of employees and the employment relationship. This specialisation provides an insight into the field of HRM and its related fields. SPECIALISATION IN MARKETING This Marketing specialisation builds skills applicable to businesses and corporations. They have a practical focus on: identifying forecast opportunities and threats in domestic and international industries; developing marketing strategies, tactics and plans; implementing and monitoring marketing strategies, tactics and plans and their effect on the organisation; and considering new approaches and techniques in marketing. All the major marketing areas are covered by this specialisation. Uses a problem-based learning approach that is valued by industry. I appreciate the practical, real life skills I learnt in my accounting degree and this helped to equip me for success later in life.
