Krishna Sudheer Professor, Dept. of MBA, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, TN, India ABSTRACT After workers have been prepared and compensated they should be retrained and kept up to serve the associations better. Welfare offices are intended to deal with the prosperity of the workers. Workers are thought to be the foundation of the associations that makes the associations targets to materialize. The worker welfare and security measures are thought to be the integral part of the associations. It is the unimportant obligation of the association to give the welfare and security measures according to the Factory s act Welfare incorporates anything that is improved the situation the solace and change of workers and is given well beyond the wages. Welfare helps in keeping the confidence and inspiration of the representatives high in order to hold the workers for longer term. This paper aimed to study the labour welfare measure in the private manufacturing companies.it is a compressive term, and alludes to the physical mental, moral and passionate prosperity of a person. Representative welfare involves every one of those exercises of manager which are coordinated towards giving the workers certain offices and administrations notwithstanding wages or pay rates. Welfare needs are considered. Our welfare program tends to sick wellbeing, deprivation, directing, and business related anxiety, staff health and instruction help. INTRODUCTION The Human Resources Management (HRM) work incorporates an assortment of exercises, and key among them is choosing what staffing needs you have and whether to utilize selfemployed entities or contract representatives to fill these requirements, enrolling and preparing the best workers, guaranteeing they are superior workers, managing execution issues, and guaranteeing your faculty and administration hones adjust to different directions. Exercises likewise incorporate dealing with your way to deal with worker advantages and pay, representative records and faculty approaches. HR as: "The general population that staff and work an association as diverged from the budgetary and material assets of an association. The authoritative capacity that arrangements with the general population..." Long a term utilized snidely by people in the line association, since it consigns people to an indistinguishable class from budgetary and material assets, HR will be supplanted by more client agreeable terms later on. Human Resource Management (HRM) is the capacity inside an association that spotlights on enrolment of, administration of, and giving guidance for the general population who work in the association. Human Resource Management can likewise be performed by line chiefs. 2. NEED FOR THE STUDY Representatives are the foundation of any industry. It is the above all else obligation of the administration to take care of the welfare of the representatives. Representative welfare intends to concede equity and correspondence among the labourer s, straightforwardly it impacts the fulfilment level of workers with the variables, for example, security products, transportation, amusement, clean, quarters et cetera. Welfare helps in keeping the confidence and inspiration of the workers high in order to hold the representatives for longer length. Thus the examination has been attempted to decide the attractive level of the representatives towards the wellbeing and welfare measures under taken by the association. 3. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY To study the welfare facilities provided to the labours in Private Enterprises of Ambattur Industrial Estate of Chennai city. To find out the labour satisfaction towards labour welfare schemes Private Enterprises of Ambattur Industrial Estate of Chennai city. To study the labours expectations towards labour welfare schemes at Private Enterprises of Ambattur Industrial Estate of Chennai city. 4. REVIEW OF LITERATURE Mallika.N (2008) the study found that welfare benefits not only raise the employees moral but make it easier for employers to attract and hire competent personal. Welfare helps to build a positive image of the organization and facilities dealing with the union. The positive attitude among the workers will create job involvement and more faith towards their organization. This will be achieved only by providing enough welfare measures to the employees. Bennet, S (2009) the study found that Industrial relations play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining industrial democracy establishment of good industrial relations depends on many factors maintence of good human relationship is central focus of industrial relations. Good industrial relationships largely rely on employee welfare measures. Here is an attempt to analyze the contributions of labour welfare measures towards good industrial relations editor@iaeme.com

(2010) discussed about the Quality of Work Life from the perspectives of Nursing Professionals in health care industry and they selected QWL dimensions such as health and well-being, job security, job satisfaction, competence development, work life balance, control over work load, nursing leadership, control over nursing practice, innovation and creativity, support and recognition. They reported that the human resource practitioners and the health care organizations have to understand the factors related to the QWL of the nurses and approach them with a humanistic way. Sarina Muhamad Noor, and Mohamad Adli Abdullah (2011) have identified in their study the relationship of job satisfaction, job involvement and job security with quality of work life of employees in one of the largest multinational firm in Northern part of Malaysia, and they selected some proposed dimensions of the QWL aspects, such as job satisfaction, job involvement, and job security. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship among the selected variables. Finally the study concluded that the management should appreciate the notion that employees with high commitment and positive work attitude contributed to the firm s success. Evidently, the environment should ensure that the firm provides support to workers quality of work life Rajendran, R (2012) in his study reveals that an effort to present the various factors governing the labour welfare measure in chemical companies which is applies in the general aspect of Indian contract. Particularly the employees have been got several stringent in the safety a health affect through the enormous dust and chemicalised air breathing in factory zones in their work spot. 5. RESEARCH METHDOLOGY The research is an empirical in nature and has used the survey technique for collection of the data. The survey has been conducted in the private enterprises in ambattur industrial estate of Chennai City. The study focused on the labours in the private enterprises in ambattur industrial estate of Chennai. A sample of 100 respondents was contacted for the purpose of study. Researcher contacted with 100 labours. The nature of study is descriptive. In the present study primary data have been collected from the interview method with the help of questionnaire.questionnaire is designed to collect the information from the respondents of private enterprises of ambattur industrial estate, Chennai City. The major sources of secondary data are Company reports/records, Standard reference text books, Internet, Other sources of secondary data have been at the end of report at bibliography in detail..the target group is Labours working in the private enterprises of ambattur industrial estate and the Sample Size is DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION Table 1 Classification of Respondents about welfare measures S. FINDINGS It is found that most of the labours are satisfied with the welfare measures provided by the company. It is found that most of the labours are satisfied with the loans provided by the company. The canteen facilities provided by the company are very much satisfied by the labours editor@iaeme.com

The labours are satisfied with the gratuity provided by the company. The labours are not satisfied with the regular health check up provided by the company. Most of the labours are not satisfied with the safety measures. 8. SUGGESTIONS AND CONCULSION Fringe benefits should be given to the labours in order to motivate them. The canteen facilities should be maintained in the same way for the future purpose. The infrastructure in the quarters is to be improved. Training is to be provided for the future purpose. As most of the labours are not satisfied. Today the companies are looking for the flexible ways of completing the activities; sophisticated technology is stimulating the individuals to use the available to complete the task. Along these the labour cooperation is considered to be the imported aspect.one of the best ways to motivate the labour is by providing the welfare measures for their labours. It is understood from the study that the frequent welfare facility on need based imported by the company helps labours to concentrate in their work devotionally with full enthusiasm. Thus any company which would like to grow must organize more welfare facility and not only recent developments in the present trend but also the respected future trend to be imported so as to make them ready to face challenges.
