3 3 About us Investors in People is the standard for people management. Based on 25 years of leading practice, collaboration with over 1000 organisations and management thinkers, the Standard reflects the very latest workplace trends. We aim to shape a working world where employers, employees and the community succeed by understanding the value of investing in people. History of Investors in People Investors in People (IIP) was established in 1991 with the intention of supporting organisations to respond to a changing business landscape, with an objective of raising the standard of people management for the benefit of everyone. Since 1991 we have undertaken over 56,000 assessments, impacting over 2,000,000 individuals, to improve the standard of people management globally.
