14 Bottlenecks in the F&V supply chain General: Question an demand is never a perfect fit! Logistics and just-in-time delivery pushing product quality to the limit. Logistics from grower to consumer is handled by too many supply chain players. Lack of product knowledge throughout the fresh supply chain. Speed of information (ERP systems / Big data) Endless implementation of tailor made customer solutions. Retail shifts their social challenges to their suppliers. Product: Decay (failure costs) by logistical errors. Quality in the season (F&V are natural products!). Incorrect way of packaging of F&V

Prevents molding and decay. Price/raw new materials must be competitive with current type packaging. A packaging that is 100% sustainable (bio-based). Has a natural appearance. Where the product is visible from outside (non-condensing) That can serve as an information carrier. 30
