3 AMAZONLOG WHAT IS? AMAZONLOG is a unprecedented Multinational Inter-agency Logistics Exercise in South America, led by the Brazilian Army Logistics Command (COLOG) and inspired by the Logistic Exercise "Capable Logistician ", conducted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries in 2015, in Hungary. In the hostile and challenging Amazon Rainforest will be built an International Logistics Base composed of Integrated Multinational Logistics Units (ULMIs) that will be trained in the support of civilians and military personnel employed in remote and disassociated regions, as typically occurs in Peace Operations and Humanitarian Assistance. AMAZONLOG IS DIVIDED INTO THREE ACTIVITIES MULTINATIONAL INTER-AGENCY LOGISTICS EXERCISE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON HUMANITARIAN LOGISTICS TRADE SHOW & EXHIBITION The Multinational Logistics Exercise will be held from 6 to 13 November 2017, in Tabatinga, Amazonas State. In addition to AMAZONLOG, COLOG intends to know and evaluate new products and solutions for future acquisitions, including those that can improve the structures of the Brazilian Army in the Amazon. REMEMBER! The possibility of having products and services in the exercise increases the visibility of the exhibiting companies and enhances the commercial promotion. Contact the AMAZONLOG EXPO organizers as soon as possible to obtain important information regarding: Transport of equipments from Manaus to Tabatinga; Operational requirements for the full operation and handling of equipment in the field; Insertion of equipment into the Tactical framework of the Exercise; Accommodation and meals during Exercise, etc. You can have a solution that is dual-use and that can contribute to the sustainable development of the Amazon. BUSINESS MEETINGS AMAZONLOG EXPO offers business meetings between buyers and solution providers that will be scheduled prior to the show. This service allows you to detect potential buyers and develop new contacts for cooperation with Brazilian and foreign partners. WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR? For all exhibiting companies that wish to take advantage of a tailor made business agenda and with professional visitors selected by the organizer. 7 EVENTS@PROSPECTAREBRASIL.COM /
8 OPPORTUNITIES ENERGY The generation of electric power in remote areas of the Amazon is a permanent challenge due to the logistics required by the most commonly used equipment, such as fuel oil generators. This reality has an important impact on the lives of the communities, which suffer serious restrictions to their basic needs. INFRASTRUCTURE The construction projects in the Amazon Region, in general, follow patterns very similar to the other areas of the country, although their geography and complexity are radically different in several aspects, which brings opportunities for innovative solutions. COMMUNICATIONS Connections within the Amazon Area are recognized as precarious, making it difficult to meet local demands and, practically, preventing or severely hampering the implementation of remote technologies for health, education, security and many other needs of the most isolated populations that are deprived of the benefits achieved by other regions of the country. TRANSPORT In such a vast region, with serious infrastructure problems, the theme "Transport" is of great importance. WATER PURIFICATION Like the generation of electric energy, obtaining potable water, in the volumes and qualities required, is an extremely serious problem in some remote regions.
9 OPPORTUNITIES Establish direct contact with key decision makers. Get to know the strategic projects of the Brazilian Armed Forces and Public Security Agencies. Showcase your products and solutions to highly qualified users. Gain ground in the promising Defence and Security market in Brazil. Networking, knowledge exchange and establish partnerships. AMAZONLOG works with many leading industry associations and publications to ensure our marketing messages get across the widest possible reach. Invitations are sent to a number of editors, journalists & bloggers. It is possible to arrange press conferences or multiple on-site interviews to ensure your message in amplified and continues long after the event have taken place. Official Publication MEDIA EXPOSURE SOLUTIONS ON DISPLAY Some solutions on display at AMAZONLOG EXPO, plus others: Arms and Ammunition Boats Command and Control Emergency Response Fixed-Wing Aircraft and Helicopters Foods Health Products Area Individual Equipment Information Technology and Communications Logistics Solutions Nautical Equipment Optronics Radars Sensors Simulators Smart Energy UAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle USV Unmanned Surface Vehicle Uniforms Water Purification
10 WHY THE AMAZON The Brazilian Amazon is currently national priority according to the National Defense Strategy. It covers an area of 5.2 million sq.km, with a population density of 3.2 inhabitants/sq.km, one third of the Earth's tropical forests is home of the largest biologically diversity in the world and largest freshwater basin in the world. The region holds lush fauna and flora. Its treasures are virtually untouched and detailed researches indicate that houses one of the most extraordinary mineral provinces in the world. All this shows that the Amazon has long been a strategic area of high interest for Brazilians. There is an urgent need to integrate it into the national environment and articulate it with our neighbors, who are also the custodians of this patrimony. This is the main reason for the national priority now lent to the Amazon. MANAUS Amazonas state capital and the main financial, corporate and economic center of northern Brazil and is the seventh most populous city in the country. In the ranking of the magazine América Economía, Manaus appears as one of the top 30 cities in the line of business in Latin America, and is now the sixth largest economy in Brazil. TABATINGA Brazilian municipality located in the west of the State of Amazonas, in the triple border have Brazil, Colombia and Peru. It has a population of 62,000 inhabitants and is located in the middle of the largest tropical forest on the planet, the Amazon Forest, on the left bank of the Solimões River. Tabatinga is a direct distance from Manaus de km of 1,108 km and a fluvial distance of 1,573 km. Access to the city is by boat or plane, there are no roads linking Tabatinga to Manaus. The river trip in the section Tabatinga - Manaus consumes about three days and, on the contrary, about seven days. SAVE THE DATE / SEP 26-28,
