3 1 About this Document 1.1 Purpose The objective of this business scenario document is to give you hands-on experience of running the chosen business processes in a realistic business environment using the SAP Business ByDesign system. It allows you to quickly become familiar with this business scenario by guiding you through the steps that you need to carry out in the reference system. To obtain a better understanding of the business processes that make up this scenario, also refer to the Scenario Outline for this scenario. 1.2 Reference System and Model Company A reference system is a system that is preconfigured and loaded with fictitious users and sample data. The users and sample data are based on the model company Almika Inc.. By following the step-by-step instructions in this document, you can assume the identity of the Almika users and use the built-in sample data to carry out each of the business process tasks. This hands-on experience will help you to understand the relevance and benefits of this business scenario. To learn more about the model company that uses the business processes described in this document, read the Company Fact Sheet, which contains an overview of the reference company, its organizational set up, employees and their different roles and work centers, as well as a comprehensive list of the master data used in your system. 4 2 Master and Organizational Data Each SAP Business ByDesign Reference System contains essential master and organizational data, which reflect the typical organizational structure of a mid-size company of a specific industry allow you to run the industry specific processes using the appropriate master data, for example, materials, vendors or customers. For this scenario, use the master data as described below. If you want to run the scenario with customer and project-specific values, you can copy master data with certain characteristics from the sample entries in the table and adapt this data. For an illustration of the organizational data as well as additional information (bill of material, logistics layout) about the reference company, refer to the Company Fact Sheet. Master / Org. 5 3 Business Process Tasks 3.1 Intracompany Stock Transfer Check Stock Overview SUPPLYPLANNER01P (Supply Planner / Richard Stone) Outbound Logistics Control Common Tasks: Stock Overview Stock Overview screen Show All Stock By Selection Product ID Combi 110e (P100402) Click Go. Check the On-Hand Stock for the entered product in the different sites and logistics areas. In the next steps of this scenario, you will transfer goods from logistics area Central Warehouse (P ) in site P1100 to logistics area External Warehouse (P1123-0) in site P1123. If the product is in stock, the on-hand quantity is displayed in the On-Hand Stock column. If there is no stock, the product is not displayed. Click Close. July 28,

Product ID Requested Quantity Requested Delivery Date Freight Forwarder ID Combi 110e (P100402) 2 ea <actual Date + 1 week> ABC Cargo Worldwide (S100800) Click Release. In the input parameters for Release Schedule Lines, leave the Release Until date blank and Click OK. Click Save. Under Line Items, choose the Schedule Lines tab. Click Open Product Planning Details. In the Supply and Demand List of the Product Planning Details, you can see the newly created Stock Transfer Demand. Click Close for the Product Planning Details and note the stock transfer order ID. Click Close for the New Stock Transfer Order screen. July 28,

7 3.1.3 Post Goods Issue SUPPLYPLANNER01P (Supply Planner / Richard Stone) Outbound Logistics Delivery Control Delivery Control view Delivery Proposals subview Show All Proposals by Selection Click Go. Choose the line item with your stock transfer order ID in the Reference ID column. Click Post Goods Issue to open the Create Outbound Delivery and Goods Issue quick activity. By choosing Post Goods Issue, no warehouse tasks are created for picking and shipping. The goods issue is directly posted. Click Propose Quantities. 8 Outbound Deliveries view Show All Deliveries by Selection Click Go. Choose the line item with your Outbound Delivery ID and click Edit. Choose the Document Flow tab page to review the document flow. Choose the Output History tab page to see the Delivery Note and the Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN). Click Close Post Goods Receipt WAREHOUSE01P (Warehouse Manager / Luther Loblanski) Inbound Logistics Inbound Delivery Notifications Inbound Delivery Notification view Show Advised Delivery Notifications Click Go. Choose the line item with your Delivery Notification ID. The delivery notification has the same ID as the outbound delivery in the previous step. Click Post Goods Receipt to open the Create Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt quick activity. By choosing Post Goods Receipt, no warehouse tasks are created for put-away. The goods July 28,

12 3.2.4 Release Customer Demand What You Should Know The business process within the model company is automated: When the requested product is available, the corresponding sales order will be released automatically and will be ready for further processing in the customer demand view. Create Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt screen Target Logistics Area ID Central Warehouse (P ) Select the delivery notification and click Post Goods Receipt. Check if it is correct. Actual Quantity <quantity> Click Propose Quantities to take over the ordered quantity. Click Save and Close. Click Invoice. 16 Check Supplier Invoice (optional) What You Should Know The supplier invoice was created automatically via data exchange. In India there could be an exception of tax value due to different tax calculation rules between customer invoice and supplier invoice. You can either accept the difference or change the value in the supplier invoice FINANCIAL02 (Accountant / Iris Green) Supplier Invoicing Invoices and Credit Memos Invoices and Credit Memos view Show list All Documents And Find <your customer invoice> Click Go. Select the line item with your customer invoice ID from the previous step and check the invoice.
